a new biotechnology that 'cleans' China's air

TRANSCRIPT

  • PROBLEM #1: More than 80% of Chinas cities have a smog rate2 to 4 times that of the World Health Organisations safe zone. 710

million Chinese urbanites breathe this potential-killer that comes with

a mix of carbon monoxide and a tiny, air borne particulate called PM

2.5. Its size is so small several thousand would fit on the full stop at the

end of this sentence. According to medical authorities, this PM2.5 par-

ticulate goes straight into the bloodstream causing respiratory, brain

and heart problems in a very short time. It is the main pollution killer in

Chinas air. Many of the Chinese cities have a rating of more than 200

with a normal daily rate of be-

tween 200 and 300, (Beijing had

    a 400+ day in January 2014) with

the city of Harbin (10m pop)

    having a 900 day in 2013.......

    Pollution levels soared in Beijing

    on Thursday (15/01/15) to more

    than 20 times WHO recommend

ed limits, as the intense smog

    returned to the capital. Levels

of PM2.5 were recorded at 568

    micrograms per cubic meter by

the US Embassy during the after-

noon - WHOs recommended maximum is 25. A worse reading of 631

was recorded at a municipal monitoring station in the east of the city

    [16 Jan 2015]

PROBLEM #2:.........caused by Problem #1: Chinese health authorities and World Bank report that up to 500,000 (plus) people

die prematurely each year as a direct result of this polluted air.

A SOLUTION TO CHINAS POLLUTION An Australian biotechnology cleans Chinas air.

....the red blood cell is 10 to 20 times bigger than the PM2.5 particulate, being easily absorbed into the human bloodstream.

  • A WHO report estimates that diseases triggered by indoor and out-

door air pollution kills 656,000 Chinese citizens each year, while pol-

luted drinking water kills another 95,600. The country has earned itself

a startling superlative: the highest annual incidence of premature

deaths triggered by air pollution in the world. China is in the mid-

dle of the largeest rural migration in history, with millions of its

people leaving for mushrooming cities. The factories are multi-

plying, car ownership is surging, making the cities air quality

to plummet. Burning of coal or charcoal to heat homes, also

produces a range of indoor damaging air pollutants - sulfur

dioxide, particulates - plus a very high mixture of extremely

small particles and water droplets, ozone, and nitrogen dioxide -

ALL causing major-major health problems for the people. An increase

in elderly patients with underlying respiratory diseases has worsened

their conditions since pollution has been evident in China while the

Chongqing Medical University, found that babies whose mothers

were exposed to a Chinese coal-fired power plant had poorer

learning and memory skills. Some public health experts have

forecast that in five to seven years, China will see a substantial

increase in lung cancer, respitory and cardiovascular

diseases. The Chinese Government plans to spend more

than US$270 billion over the next 5 years to beat this problem

as health is now becoming much more important than wealth, and

the Chinese public expects the government to act towards a better

environmental solution. It is clear that Chinas own natural resources,

air, land, and water - are already suffering terribly.

THE 710 MILLION CHINESE PEOPLE NEEDING A BREATH OF FRESH AIR: The China Urbanization work conference in 2013 recognized that there are 710 million urban residents living within the

    ....what pollution does to lungs.

  • boundaries of the major Chinese cities. If it were possible to manufac-

ture 80 million units, of a new clean air technology, in Australia within

the first year, this gigantic market would still have the same need in 10

years time.....without any real impact on the total Chinese population.

SOLUTION: A new Australian biotechnology will deliver 99.9% clean air to a wholly new, technically designed facemask. It receives

pressurised air dispensed to the nostril area at a 130% oversupplied

rate - meaning no outside pollution invades the incoming air

breathing area. The face delivery section is no longer a white

piece of covering cotton with elastic ear ties, acknowledged

for years as a face mask. The biotechnology now employs an

air-strip - a thin tube hidden behind novelty features which in

reality, is a health aid, disguised as a stylish ear to ear fashion

statement. The air cleaning module of the biotechnology will

use Australian based air purifier component that can ONLY be sourced within the country. It is a well hidden air purifier management system of four interdependant activator applications, that have ma-

jor significant, chemical qualitys separating the poisonous air impuri-

ties. Because of these outcomes, patent confidentiality could be an-

  • ticipated for many years to come. The air purifier module is carried in

modern, fashionable carry bags, like small computer pouches, back-

packs, handbags, thigh and shoulder bags. It has an interchange-

able refill that could last up to 2 weeks at a time - battery powered,

with the delivery tube following the carry strap up to the shoulder, then

the ears, and hiding behind the new, air-strip mask - a malleable piece

of light plastic.which becomes a fashion item.

OTHER USES: The biotechnology can be adapted and applied to air purifiers in the home, vehicles, commercial offices, shopping

centres and seacraft. Other competitor commercial house/office ap-

plications are readily available on the Chinese home market today,

the problem being the American sourced applications are expensive.

Most based on USA retail costs - way above the norm of Chinese af-

fordability. Other internattional markets can also be seen as different

countries having a major need. Parts of Europe, and India, who some-

times has a larger smog problem than those experienced in Chinese

    cities.

  • THE CHINESE PRODUCTS: Proof that this biotechnology has a need?.....in early 2013, an enterprising Beijing multi-millionaire made

$8 million in 10 days from soft drink sized cans (80

cents each) of fresh Chinese mountain air - non

pressurised. Approximately 4 to 6 whiffs per can.

In March 2014, 20 bright blue bags of air were

shipped to Zhengzhou, capital of central Chinas

Henan province, as a special treat for residents.

The air originated from Laojun Mountain, some 120

miles from the city, and was brought as part of a

promotion gimmick to show oxygen-deprived city

residents what theyre missing. The residents lined up (limited to a few

minutes each) for the chance to inhale this clean, fresh mountain air.

One pregnant woman exclaimed she felt her baby move for the first

time when she was breathing the Lao-

    jun mountain air. Chinas environmen-

    tal ministry announced that Zheng-

zhou was among the countrys top 10

    most-polluted cities, its pollution level

was an unhealthy 158. By contrast, Ba-

kersfield, the most polluted city in the

USA was 45. A potentiaL competitor is

Frogmask, not yet launched. It mea-

sures and identifies outside pollution. It

has a very high clean air result with a location identifier linked to your

smartphone which warns you of the current pollution level - a serious

contender. 900 million facemasks were manufactured in China in 2013.

The China Consumers Association tested 37 mask samples in 2014 and

found only nine were rated as good filters. On a broader scale the

  • Chinese Government is looking at various methods/technologies to

get rid of the smog, basically employing large scale applications to

push it out of the cities, or cover tent-like large city areas. The Amer-

ican company IBM has a long term agreement with Beijing City to

monitor the polluition on a daily basis.

POTENTIAL:.......with the large Chinese market, one can assume that an annual Australian manufacturing output could

possibly support 80 million units, relevant to local Australian

labour, factory space and production availability. 900

million facemasks were manufactured in China in 2013. In

March 2014, the China Consumers Association tested 37

mask samples, and found only nine had a filtering effect that

it rated as good. It means that most of them were useless at

keeping the surrounding everyday pollution out. As a consequ-

ence, millions of Chinese are not aware of the lack of protection

from the mask they wear! thats millions, and millions,....and hundreds

of millions of people believing they are breathing in clean air. But,......

in reality, are unknowingly beathing, toxic, polluted, air. Every day.

OUR ANSWER:.......Apple makes their products matter to their end users because it makes the end users lives better off. This biotechnol-

ogy will help hundreds of millions of Chinese lives better off and health-

ier. By breathing 99.9% pure, clean air.
