2nd July 2016:

Chinmaya Sishu Vihar Orientation Programme

The parents of new LKG children for the Academic

year 2016-17 were invited for an orientation

program on the 2nd of July 2016. This was an

opportunity for interaction between all the LKG

teachers and parents.

6th July 2016:

Announcement of results of Council Members

Our student council members for the Academic Year

2016-17 were elected through the regular

democratic secret ballot system.

10th July 2016:

UGC NET Examination

Central Board of Secondary Education has

appointed our Vidyalaya as centre to conduct the

prestigious UGC-NET Examination July, 2016. A

total number of 540 candidates have been allotted to

our centre by the CBSE and appeared for this

competitive exam. Our faculty conducted and also

invigilated the proceedings of this esteemed

examination with diligence and dexterity.

11th July 2016:

Haritaharam (Planting of Saplings) All the Vidyalaya students were seen enjoying planting new saplings across the campus. A lot of awareness of greenery was indirectly absorbed in their minds. Thus our children, through their activities comprehend and are able to respect

NATURE and understand that it is only a GIVER.

The importance of having maximum green cover for

our own well being was understood by the students.

16th July 2016:

Quiz Competition

The highly esteemed IIT Madras institution, in their

annual project called Shastra -2017, organized a

quiz programme under the title SPARK. The

students of IIT Madras took the initiative of

organizing this noble endeavor to the city for the

school children. The eligible candidates were from

class 8 onwards. Students of our Vidyalaya (Chi.

Akash and Chi. Rushab Kiran from XII -Science)

brought us pride by concluding the day with

Runners up trophy. Hearty congratulations to all the

winners and participants.

19th July 2016:

Guru Purnima Celebrations:

Guru Purnima was celebrated with a sense of

devotion, dedication and surrender. A tableau titled

“My worth – My teacher knows” to fulfill “My

Teacher’s Vision is my life’s Ambition” was

staged by students of Class X, which was soulfully

received by each and every one present.

Chess Competitions:

Chi. I. Meghala of Class 3-B and Chi. I. Aashrita of

UKG participated and won in the Interschool

competition organized by the Telangana Chess

Academy held in the month of July and will now

proceed to participate in the National Level and state

level respectively.

Delhi School of Excellence, Attapur, Hyderabad

conducted the 3rd Inter School Chess Competition on

21st and 22nd July 2016. Chi. Sairam Saketh of

Class 6-B participated in the Junior level and Chi.

Abhinav Reddy from class 10-A participated in the

Senior level. Of the 6 rounds conducted Chi. Saketh

won 5 rounds and Chi. Abhinav won 4 rounds.

“The Hindu” conducted a Chess Competition for the

students of Telangana State at St. Josephs School

on 22nd July 2016. Chi. Akash, Chi. Neha, Chi.

Sahiti, Chi. Prashant, Chi. Mohit and Chi. Naga

Phaneeshwar of Class XII Science and Commerce

participated in this competition.

National Science Exhibition:

Chi. P. Ananya and Chi. S. Tejaswini from Class IX-

B participated in the CBSE National Science

Exhibition held at Gurgaon in April 2015. They

developed the idea called “ACQUAPONICS”..

Aquaponics is a culture of growing plants without

soil, with the help and combination of fishes.

Chi. K. Shreya and Chi. N. Srija from IX-C

participated in this exhibition in March 2016. They

developed the idea of Multipurpose Agriculture

Cycle. They converted a normal cycle for ploughing,

seed sowing, water and fertilizer sprinkling.

Working on such ideas, gives our children more

insight into scientific thinking and implementing

their knowledge into practical aspects. Kudos to all

the above geniuses and prospective future scientists

and our science department teachers. Sri Durga

Prasad, Science Teacher accompanied these children

to Delhi.

23rd and 25th July 2016: Parent Teacher Meeting

There was a good interaction between parents and

teachers on 23rd and 25th July 2016. This meeting

was held on the completion of FA-I examination.

This meeting was indeed useful and a constructive

feedback was given by all parents for the welfare of

their respective child. Follow up on the suggestions

of the parents is being implemented.

25th July 2016:

Kindergarten Story Enaction:

The Sishu Vihar children enacted two stories. “THE

THIRSTY CROW” for the LKG kids and “ THE

CLEVER FOX” for the UKG kids, which was well

understood and enjoyed by all the little tiny tots.

The hard work done by the teachers for training

these little children is well appreciated.

Kindergarten also had a role play on “MY FAMILY”.

Other Achievements and Laurels:

Chi. Saroja of Class 3-D participated in a Dance

competition held at Nellore organized by the

Venkaiah Swamy Trust and was awarded a

momento.

Chi. Ch.Charith Rao of class VI-A stood at 3rd place.

Chi. Epsitha of class V-D stood 1st, Chi. Praveen Raj

of VIII C stood 2nd and Chi. Vishal of Class VIII- A

stood 1st at the 3rd National Martial Arts

Championship-2016 organized by Bruce Lee’s Jeet

Kun-Do; - School of Chinese Martial Arts.

Congratulations to all these winners.

29th July 2016: Bonalu Celebrations:

Telangana State festival BONALU was celebrated in

our Vidyalaya in a traditional way with religious

fervor and gaiety. The children were involved in a

dance that showed the traditional way in which this

festival is celebrated. Absolutely fabulous, this dance

had every one present in Vidyalaya cheering the

dancers and the teachers involved in training these

children.

Our senior Hindi teacher, Smt. Susheela

retired from service on attaining the age

of superannuation this month. She has

been with our Vidyalaya since the past

20 years. Our students express their

sincere thanks and gratitude to her. We

wish her a happy, peaceful and healthy

retired life and the best of luck in all her

future endeavors.
