1 to 2 artifacts that represent (1) STORY/EVENT/MOMENT FROM YOUR PAST THAT influenced your decision to become a teacher, and (2) story/picture/quote, etc from the present that stands out as important to your current understanding of being  a teacher. Explain why this artifact was chosen

My Artifact is a story about when I was younger. I had a teacher in the fifth grade that wasn’t that great. He had not taken the time to work with me when I needed help. He had also left my name and picture out of the yearbook as well. He had made me feel that I was not important. This story is a reminder that you have to watch all your students and keep all students in mind when teaching because you don’t know what you do to them when you ignore them.

Movie Night: I had participated in a fifth grade fundraiser that allowed for the families of the fifth grade students to come to the school to watch a movie together. During my time at the event

I had been at the front to greet people and take the fee for families to see the movie. It was great to see the students and their families together to have fun at this event.
