WHAT IS CHOLESTEROL?1. The cholesterol is a type of fat found in your body.2. Your liver makes cholesterol for your body.3. You also get cholesterol from some of the foods you eat- especially animal products like meat, eggs, butter, cheese and milk.

1. LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol.2. HDL(High-Density Lipoprotein )cholesterol.
LDL (LOW-DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN)CHOLESTEROL
This is the “bad cholesterol”. Thistype is most likely to make something called plaque that canclog a person’s arteries.
HDL(HIGH-DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN)CHOLESTEROL
This is the “good cholesterol”. It doesn’t clog the arteries. HDL cholesterol removes cholesterol from the blood vessels and carries it back to the liver.
SYMPTOMS:If cholesterol builds up in a person’s blood vessels over many years, it might let to:
. A heart attack that can damage the heart
. A stroke that can damage the brain
TREATMENTS:- Eat lots of different healthy foods, especially fruits, vegetables,and whole grains.- Get plenty of exercise.- Stay at a healthy weight.- Don’t smoke.
