Design elements with common ground:
•Provide a reliable trail connection
•Create a design friendly for pedestrians of all ages, families with strollers, and dogs on leash
•Keep the trail as narrow as possible
•Discourage fast cycling and skateboarding
•Retain natural setting
•Minimize visible retaining walls and fencing
•Do not include lighting
•Limit the impacts of parking around Chorley Park

Design elements required by the City:
•Install a switchback trail that is as universally accessible (barrier free) as possible.
•Create an accessible connection between the top of the trail and the sidewalk.
•Switchback trail surface will be asphalt.
•Include multiple passing/resting areas, with seating where possible.
