I have chosen a selective amount of photos to show the story. In the video we see a man

looking to harm a child with the expected outcome of the little girl in the video getting hurt by

this obvious „paedophile‟ character, we then realise the girl is not in fact a girl but a the devil

inside pragmatically killing all the paedophiles who have been drawn in by the girls attention.

LYRICS

When reviewing the lyrics there wasn‟t much I could talk about due to the fact it‟s main lyric

was “call 911 now”.

The rest of the song was „dub step‟ and had an auto tuned pre made recording of somebody

talking to fit in with the song.

VOYEURISM/LOOKINGThis video is a good example of Voyeurism due to the man watching the little girl in a perverted tone, We

get the sense that the girl is unaware of being watched but when watching further on we understand this is

not the case. We first realise the man is watching her by him sitting on a bench watching her play whilst he

rubs a sweet with is ironically linked to all paedophiles anyway which makes this scene more obvious to

the viewer. In one scene he is seen with chloroform which makes the viewer think that he has probably

done this before as he knows exactly what to do or he could have planned it out.

The man was obviously looking at her in an erotic manner in which meaning to take her not to just looking

at her from a unnoticeable distance.

INTERTEXTUALITY

Looking at the video we ask ourselves why do we not see Skrillex himself in this music video?

It might be because he is portraying his identity through the paedophile as a mysterious

watcher or as a demon inside a child‟s body.

The video could have taken many ideas from different films with this type of thriller genre such

as The Lovely Bones, Disturbia and I Spit On Your Grave. Walking down the alley to capture

the girl fits with the song and the situation.

CAMERA MOVEMENTSThe beginning of the video starts with a low body shot of the man playing with the sweet, this starts the

video off to be creepy and makes the audience wonder what he is up to.

There are lots of establishing shots so we are able to see what is going on around them which really

sets the scene for the paedophile as he is sitting next to a children‟s play ground.

Close ups of their faces show the change of NVC from when the man is evilly grinning to take the child

to the child evilly grinning to have captured the man into her plan which is basically karma for him.

EDITING

Slow motion of the girl running suggests that she‟s helpless to get away from the fast

approaching man even though she led him to his slow and painful death.

The man had a stuttering slow motion effect while raised in the air from the impact of the girls

powers, all of her powers were made on computer generated software.
