~STATE FAIR SHOWMANSHIP RESULTS~ Youth are divided into eight showmanship classes by age. They compete in "heats" of 20 exhibitors where the top 3-5 showman advance to the "finals". Each age group has 80-100 youth competing. Nicole Pralle advanced to the Finals in their age group of 80+

Cans For A Cause 726 food and hygiene items were received and will be divided between Clark County Area Food Pantry and the
Fruit of the Vine Food Pantry in Stanley. There were three club structures and one club who donated a number of cans. Thanks to everyone’s generosity towards filling the food pantry shelves!

Mark Your Calendars for Fall Forum and Hall of Fame Celebration
Don’t miss out on a great statewide workshop for youth and adult leaders!!!
What: Fall Forum and Hall of Fame Celebration
When: November 4-6, 2016 (starting with registration at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 4 and ending 10:30 a.m. November 6)
Where: Green Lake Conference Center, Green Lake
Who: Each county is encouraged to send a delegation of youth and adults
7th – 13th grade youth
Adult volunteer leaders
Staff are invited and encouraged to attend as your schedule permits
Cost:
$85 registration fee per person - Friday – Sunday (pizza buffet, 3 meals Saturday, 1 meal Sunday)
$75 registration fee per person - Saturday – Sunday (3 meals Saturday, 1 meal Sunday)
$70 registration fee - Saturday – (lunch and Hall of Fame dinner)
$50 registration fee - Saturday – (lunch only)
Lodging:
Adults: $45/night if there are two adults
$75 - Single adult room (limited availability)
$25/night with three or more adults per room
Youth: $25/night with three – six youth per room
The program kicks off Friday evening with over 20 interactive sessions. Saturday offers more than 25 workshops to choose from. Top off the night with a special celebration where 11 people will be inducted in to the Wisconsin 4-H Hall of Fame. An evening of circle dancing and table games will follow the celebration. Sunday morning brings a high energy program that you can use at the club or community level.
All youth participants need to have a chaperon who has completed Youth Protection identified when they register.

Lori Hendrickson National 4-H week is October 2 to 8. We are encouraging clubs to connect with local libraries, banks, grocery stores, gas stations, emergency rooms, your front yard, etc. To share the awesome message of 4-H in Clark County! You can set up a display inside or outside an establishment. Draw artwork on a window, make announcements in schools, have your older youth give presentations to some of the younger school grades in 4-H. The club securing the most new 4-H members during National 4-H week (designated by new enrollments entered in 4honline) will receive a 4-H club pizza party (Clark Pizza’s) with Ice Cream Sundae’s for dessert. Party will be catered by Agent Hollar. Please submit digital images of your efforts directly to Agent Hollar.

We are fast approaching a change of seasons, a time of new beginnings for youth returning to school, heading off to college, or directly into
the workforce. In the world of 4-H we shift from wrapping up summer program activities to laying the foundation for fall, winter, spring and summer activities (dayjahvue). We have had a few challenges along the way, some not resolved, along with making adjustments to the adjustments. In addition, this is the time of celebration of hard work and learning so join us for the Leaders Banquet on September 26th and the youth Awards Banquet on October 23rd!

Loyal Lads & Lassies / August / Sydney Schultz Stetson Rueth led us in the pledges. As role call was taking place, the members of the club observed a jar full of erasers and tried to guess how many there were. The club discussed the float for the upcoming Loyal Corn Fest. We decided how we were going to decorate it, who was going to help, where
we were going to decorate it, and at what time. Ryleigh and Trevyn Wilke gave speeches towards the end of the meeting. Lucky Clovers / July / Rachel Stiemann Ian Slone presented his demonstration on modeling clay. Nathan Stiemann, Max Koepp, and Zach Magnus reported on summer camp. It was a wonderful experience, and the fishing was fun. All
the members that attended summer camp would attend next year. Bowling was reported as being a small group that attended. Nicolas Stiemann reported on the softball tournament. Our fair promotional sign received second place in the county judging. Members discussed the possibility of recycling at the fair. Each bin will be assigned to a specific family for emptying. The new bylaws were brought before the members by the officer’s board for approval. Members discussed the possibility of putting on a petting zoo at the Family Fun Festival. Members were reminded to hand in their record books to the general leaders by September 6. Next meeting date is Monday, September 19, 7:00 p.m. at Globe Church Maplewood Badgers / August / Leah Nieman Pledges led by Levi Dommer and Aubrey Rueth Cassie Gosse reported on working at the Colby Cheese Days water station and Katerina Kolzow reported on Dairy Showmanship Discussed travel plans for state fair, fair prep day, fair sign contest Lydia Nieman did a demonstration with her dog. Reseburg Ramblers / July / Emily Micke Historians need pictures of softball. They have been working hard on the scrapbook keep up the good work girls! Committee Reports: Softball—Having a blast, it really fun!; Picnic—the club picnic is August 28 you can camp over if you want! We still need people for THURSDAY for our foodstand shift Kristina LeCloux submitted receipts for scrapbooking and was reimbursed. Next meeting is August 28, 1:00 p.m. at Petranovich's pond.
