What is Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT)?
Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) - a group of Christian authors on FIRE for God and committed to using writing as a tool for Christian ministry – is steadfast in its efforts to introduce readers to books that,
1. Lead people to the Word of God (The Holy Bible)
2. Help people build their relationship with Christ; and
3. Inspire others to use writing as a tool for Christian ministry.
In existence since 2008, CAOT has sponsored five Christian book tours: the 2008-2009 Voices of Thanksgiving; the 2010 Trustworthy and True, the 2012 Fellowship of Believers; the 2013 Holy Spirit-Filled and Powerful Witnesses of Christ, and the 2014 Called to Serve.
In 2015, CAOT is taking a year of rest, reflection and planning. Therefore, it is not hosting a Christian book tour.

Over the years, Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) has been blessed to have a number of wonderful volunteers like Charlene Brown, Melanie Smith Taylor, Sis. Tara, Yolande Hinton and lots of other faithful men and women of God to volunteer their time and talent to support CAOT book events and authors/members.
CAOT is always in need of volunteers to help promote and implement CAOT events/activities and to stand steadfast in prayer for participating authors. BALTIMORE, MD
A special thank you to Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) authors/members & spouses (Min. Dwayne & Linda Clemmons, Mary Detweiler & Lynn Pinder) for sharing their time, insight, prayer, hopes, and reflections during CAOT’s 1st organizational development retreat held March 13-14, 2015 in Baltimore, MD.
Here are just a few photo highlights from the March 2015 retreat. Participating CAOT authors/members at the March 2015 retreat had the opportunity to reflect on the work of Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) since its launching in 2008. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to reflect on their own interaction with CAOT throughout the years and their hopes for future interactions with CAOT. www.christianauthorsontour.com

CAOT’s March 2015 retreat participants were charged to craft and articulate vision statements and mission statements for their own book ministries. They were also invited to help CAOT formulate a vision statement and to revise its missions statement. March 2015 retreat participants agreed to host a series of CAOT organizational development retreats throughout 2015 and 2016. The 2nd CAOT Retreat is scheduled September 11-12, 2015 in Lancaster, PA, and it will be hosted by Mary Detweiler. The 3rd CAOT Retreat is scheduled to take place in March 2016 in Richmond, VA. Min. Dwayne & Linda Clemmons will serve as the host. The 4th CAOT is scheduled to take place in September 2016 in Baltimore, MD. Lynn Pinder will serve as the host.
God-willing, Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) will relaunch its Christian book tours in 2017 with Tour stops in several cities across the United States and possibly one international Tour stop. CAOT authors/members should log into the CAOT back office on NING (www.christianauthorsontour.ning.Com) for CAOT retreat updates.

GIVING BACK: 12 WAYS YOU CAN BE A BLESSING! Since 2011, Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) has collected in-kind donations for various Christian missions at Christian book tour stops across the country. In 2015, Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) is not hosting a Christian book tour. Thus, CAOT won't be collecting in-kind donations in 2015. However, CAOT is spotlighting various Christian missions outreaches/projects each month of the year. You can contact these Christian nonprofits anytime throughout the year to support their Christian missions/outreach efforts!

With a strong belief in the Lord, I know He guides me onto the right path.In 2013, CAOT author/member – Pam Mintz - crossed my path as she planned her first Author Explosion. In 2014, I participated in Pam's event on May 16-17 and met several other CAOT authors/members. The Lord opened the door for me to become a CAOT member.
I walked through that open door, registering - strictly on faith - to attend the October 2014 Christian book tour stop in Savannah, GA. This was another fantastic opportunity to share love for God through music for nearly 24 hours during our commute to and from the event; and, the hours of promoting good Christian books at the Saturday Tour stop.
Participation in the December 2014 CAOT Christian book tour stop further expanded my connections within the Christian community, my exposure to more fantastic Christian-based books and our love for Jesus Christ. It is my honor and privilege to say I am an author/member of Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT).

Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) seeks to provide increased opportunities for its authors/members to take advantage of structured learning activities and opportunities to help them grow as Christian writers/authors.
Most of the professional development opportunities offered through CAOT are facilitated by seasoned Christian authors and/or followers of Christ who are committed to helping build the body of Christ and to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of writing.
Each quarter in 2015, CAOT is offering a series of free professional development (PD) telephone conference calls for CAOT authors/members who participated in a CAOT Christian book tour stop between the years of 2008 – 2014. If you are a CAOT author/members and you missed the opportunity to participate in any of the professional development conference calls sponsored in Quarters 1-2, email [email protected] with “Download PD Call” on the Submission Line and the name/date of the call you would like to hear in the body of your email.
If you would like to share a service, skill, and/or competency to help strengthen the craft and/or expertise of Christian authors as part of a professional development conference call sponsored by CAOT, please email [email protected] with ”PD Facilitator Proposal” on the Submission Line and a one – two sentence description of your proposed training in the body of your email.

In The Waiting Room: A 31-Day Devotional For Single Women Waiting for the Right Husband, author T. C. Spellen shares her heart with readers in an authentic, courageous way. She uses her own experiences and emotional struggles as a springboard for helping women who are waiting for God to bring them a husband. Spellen takes readers on a 31-day journey of spiritual and practical disciplines she learned while in her own waiting room and which are now part of her own faith walk. The devotions are comforting and encouraging; they provide readers with clear directives as to how to live “a purposeful life while waiting for your heart’s desires.” Though I am not waiting for a husband, I am in a season of waiting in my life. I am waiting for God to reveal to me what my next ministry role will be, if indeed He wants me to have another ministry role. Though I am waiting for something different than the audience T.C. is writing to, some of her words spoke to my heart and encouraged me in my waiting room. These words were: 1. God will not be rushed, nor will He withhold any good thing from us. He
simply wants us to be content in the waiting room. The key to being content is knowing who we are as individuals, where we come from, what we stand for, and what we ultimately want out of life. … let’s choose to be content in the waiting room.
2. We suffer loss every time we resist God and do our own thing. Resisting God by holding on to those things that do not
produce fruit in our lives is futile. 3. Letting go of our agendas and following God, especially when we do not know His plans is very challenging. 4. Obey or disobey. Live or die. God has given us free will to choose. … life is the total of our choices, and each
choice we make has its own set of consequences. 5. Waiting takes patience, strength, and wisdom. It builds character and matures and stretches us in
unbelievable ways.

Former CAOT Coordinator, Charlene Brown hit the streets of Baltimore on Saturday, June 20, 2015 as part of the 3rd Bless Baltimore Prayer Motorcade with the Baltimore City Police Department and the Multi-Cultural Prayer Movement. The Baltimore City Police Motorcycle Department escorted over 25 cars, church vans and buses filled intercessors and prayer warriors from the DC, MD and VA region who stood in the gap for Baltimore.
