TRANSCRIPT
I. Introduction: We all knew that it will take our children a lot of walking to learn to run just as it
took them a lot of crawling before they learned to walk. This is quite a long process. And this process is only just but a part of the whole process of grow-ing which takes a life time. Take for example the idea of a stanza of a song entitled, “ Growing in Jesus”: It takes a lot of growing for a tree to reach the sky. It takes a lot of rain to help it grow; It takes a lot of running for a child to catch the wind, It takes a lot of walking to learn to run.
II. The Process Of Growing In Jesus : Just like anybody, Jesus also went through a process of growth from his child-
hood days until he reached adulthood. Although there is no detailed record of his childhood experience, but a passage in the Gospel according to Luke 2:52 states a very brief yet comprehensive description of his growth. “ And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and human beings.”
There are two remarkable aspects in the passage: A.) First is the manner of Jesus growth. He knew in what we commonly called, “
Holistic growth. “ He did not only grow physically but also spiritually. B. ) The second is the aspect which has something to do with relationship. Jesus
has established a meaningful relationship with God and his fellow human be-ing.
If Christian Education should take place in all the stages of the life of a person which is from “ womb to tomb, “ it should also take place in the whole area of one’s growth. This will therefore include: physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, etc.. Moreover, the aspect of relationship should also be nurtured and strengthen both with God, with fellow human beings, with fellow life, and the entire ecological system. After all, we all belong to the community of life, the focus of God’s purposive plan.
111. Challenge And Recommendation :
It is therefore a call and a challenge, as it has always been the challenge, for each individual and collective believers to at look into every aspect of our lives as members in God’s family. As we reflect on the theme; “ Understanding The Word And Experience The Power Of God. “ Let us focus on to the life of Jesus particularly on his outlook in life and on how he relates with God, with others, and the whole creation.

“ CHRISTIAN EDUCATION GEARED ON GROWING INTO THE LIFESTYLE OF JESUS CHRIST.”
Luke 4:31-32 ( By: Rev. Benjie D. Gevera Administrative Minister of UCCP-Sabang Church of Christ Disciples )
1V. Conclusion : As we endeavour to live on our spirituality on these critical times, may we our-
selves be conscious and aware to take the opportunity of following these sug-gestions: Let us assess our system of education and nurture program. Does it respond to
the whole area of our growth? Let us strive to discover new approaches of responding the total needs of our
development through new system of educational approaches. Let us reaffirm our covenant relationship with God, with fellow human beings,
and with the whole creations. For the pattern of our progressive evolution is from anthropocentric towards cosmocentric. And
Let us firmly be rooted in the “ Principle of the Commandment of Love,” in re-
solving our individual and communal differences. Sources : The Student Bible; The Bible League; New International Version

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty, 2 Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain. 3 He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind, 4 Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. 5 You who laid the foundations of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever, 6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains. 7 At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away. 8 They went up over the mountains; They went down into the valleys, To the place which You founded for them. 9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, That they may not return to cover the earth. 19 He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down. 20 You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the beasts of the forest creep about. 24 O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions-Psalm 104:1-9, 19-20, 24 Take a moment and read these verses. Take even more time and read the entire Psalm
104. Sometimes we need to be reminded of God's awesome power and greatness. This Psalm captures the beauty of the Lord in poetic imagery. We can read the verses and almost visualize God's majesty. He is God and there is none other. He is worthy of all praise and worship. Who covers Himself with light? God is light. Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters? God. The same God moves upon the clouds as though they were His chariots and walks on the wings of the wind, because He made them. Who placed the waters in their place and put a border around them? God. The same God put the moon and the sun in their places, for seasons and for days, for light and for darkness. There is but one true God. Creator God. Sovereign Lord. Lord of heaven and earth. And as if all of this is not enough, He created us in His image. He has a plan for each of us. He loves us beyond our understanding. And He wants to spend eternity with us. He has even prepared the place in heaven that awaits us. What do we have to do in return? Believe in His Son Jesus Christ, and receive the free gift of salvation. Take time today and praise the Lord, not just for all that He has done, but for just who He is. By Daily Disciples

Marahil ay isa ka sa mga
taong kulang ang pang-
unawa kung ano ba talaga
ang kolesterol. Maaaring
marinig mo lamang ang sali-
tang kolesterol ay negatibo
na kaagad ang iyong
pananaw tungkol dito. Ito
marahil ay dahil sa iyong mga
nababasa at napapanood na
ang kolesterol ang dahilan ng
iba't-ibang sakit sa puso at
mga kasama nitong
komplikasyon.
Subalit alam mo ba na hindi
dapat katakutan ang koles-
terol? Ito ay kailangan ng
ating katawan para maipag-
patuloy ang mga normal ni-
tong gawain. Kailangan din
ito para sa paggawa ng
bagong cells at hormones at
sa pag-metabolismo ng ating
katawan. Ito ay matatagpuan
kasama ng taba sa ating dugo
at sa lahat ng cells ng kata-
wan.
Ayon kay Dr. Condrado Day-
rit, isang doktor na eksperto
sa mga karamdaman sa puso
at dating pangulo ng Philip-
pine Heart Association,
kailangan ang kolesterol dahil
ito ay nagsisilbing tagapag-
tanggol ng katawan laban sa
kanser, bilang isang anti-
oxidant at free radical scav-
enger. Ayon pa sa kanya, ang
kolesterol ang nagbibigay gng
pakiramdam ng pag-ibig dahil
naglalabas ito ng hormones
na androgen, testosterone,
estrogen at progesterone.
"Ang kolesterol na mababa pa
sa normal na antas ay may di
magandang epekto sa ating
libido", dagdag pa niya.
Dapat nating maunawaan
na ang kolesterol ay hindi
lamang nanggagaling sa
mga pagkaing galing sa
hayop na ating kinakain.
Ang ating katawan ay ku-
sang gumagawa nito para
sa ating proteksiyon. Ang
atay ang pangunahing gu-
magawa at nagsasaayos ng
kolesterol sa ating katawan.
Samantala, ang mga pag-
kain na galing sa halaman
ay walang kolesterol dahil
wala silang kakayahan na
gumawa nito. Kaya dapat
malinaw sa atin na lahat ng
pagkain na hindi galing sa
hayop, tulad ng prutas,
gulay at lamang ugat ay
walang kolesterol. Kaya
pawang mali ang sinasabi
ng mga advertisement ng
ilang produkto mula sa ha-
laman na ito ay walang
koesterol dahil kahit hindi
nila ito sabihin ay sadyang
walang kolesterol ang mga
pagkaing ito.
Ang kolesterol ay hindi
natutunaw sa dugo na du-
madaloy sa ating katawan.
Ito ay dinadala at nangga-
galing sa lahat ng bahagi ng
ating katawan sa iba't ibang
anyo. Ang dalawang anyo
na dapat bigyang pansin ay
ang tinatawag na good
kolesterol o high density
lipoprotein (HDL) at bad
kolesterol o low density
lipoprotein (LDL).
Health Survey ng Food and Nutrition Research Institute-
Department of Science and Technology (FNRI-DOST), tumaas
11.7% at ang may good kolesterol (40 mg/dL o higit pa) ay
54.2%.
schedules. Serve meals on
a regular time, preferably before the children get overly hungry, tired and/or
irritable. 4. Make mealtimes safe and
comfortable. Select chairs,
1. Lead by example. Be a role
model in practicing good eating habits.
2. Let a child be a child. Expect
and be patient with child-like table manners.
3. Be consistent with meal
tables and eating utensils suitable in structure and size for chil-
dren. 5. Serve enticing dishes/foods. Whenever appropriate, arrange
dishes attractively on plates to stimulate children's appetite.
6. Keep dishes simple-flavored. Children like dishes that are not spicy and strong-tasting.
7. Make fruits and vegetables interesting to eat. Cut fruits and vege-
tables in small fancy-shaped pieces. 8. Make mealtimes pleasant and enjoyable. Encourage a happy talk
to promote good appetite among children.
