A PEEK INSIDEa 6 month old session with this beautiful baby + her mama

She may be one of the coolest chicks I know. She's super fun, always willing to listen and seriously beautiful!

I have been lucky enough to be able to watch her develop a relationship with her only daughter that would make most moms jealous. They are like two peas in a pod, buddies, and seem to genuinely enjoy each other. I see these two quite a bit and feel like I might be a tiny bit desensitized to their relationship and just how special it is.

All of that changed while I was editing this session; shot at Jenny's home for Tressa's ~5 month shots. I saw these images and burst into tears. I felt like I could actually see how much these two love each other.

You see, what you don't see is the fact that all of these amazing Tressa smiles are at her mom, standing right behind me, singing all of the songs she loves, smiling at her or speaking to her in Italian.

It's what you don't see, but rather feel in all of these images that make them some of my very favorite ever.

So, I decided to have miss Jenny and the adorable

Tressa as our very first featured client of the month!

How would you describe Tressa in 3 sentences?Tressa is our little love. She is such a social butterfly already. She is always smiling and happy and loves getting compliments!

How would you describe yourself in 3 sentences?I always wanted to be a stay at home mom and I am living that dream. My family is my world next to the friends I have made along the way. I couldn't ask for any better in either category!

Meet Tressaand her mama Jenny!

In Jenny’s words!

What are your must haves in life?my must haves in life are my family and wine!

Why did you decide to hire Christine Maus Photography?Christine has captured moments in my life that bring happy tears to my eyes when I look at the pictures. It started with the birth of my daughter. Christine came to the hospital days after she was born.... Those first couple of days in the hospital go by so fast and seem to be such a blur but you want to savor those precious moments forever. She did that for me. The pictures she took of Tressa are so sweet and innocent and completely represent the miracle that I had just been blessed with. I had Christine come to my home to take some pictures of my 3 children when Tressa was a couple weeks old and despite my 4 year old

announcing he didn't feel like taking anymore pictures after 5 minutes - it didn't phase her. In fact in the short time she was there ( he was adamant) she captured the awe and love my two boys had for their new little sister. Now 5 months later I had Christine come back to get some new pictures of Tressa - once again I am now left with how many new frames will I need for all of these AMAZING photos. Honestly, I might need one of each photo in my gallery!!!! My only regret about these photos - that I didn't know Christine 4 years ago when my

first child was born.

Ever find yourself fawning over pictures of your loved ones, but can’t seem to figure out what to do with them? Framing is not your only option. Here are some fun ideas to change up your regular decor! Hang up a yard or two of twine, and then hang your printed pictures from it with clothes pins. Easy and stylish, this is a creative way to display your pictures, and is also a very useful setup if you like to update your photos often! Another creative way to display your pictures is by transferring them to wood. There are many tutorials for this idea all over the web, and it is an easy DIY that is worth the short time it takes to create. This

aged beachy look is a

smart way to hang up the classics, and a fresh idea that is perfect for updating your house.

If you decide to go the framing route Christine Maus Photography offers quite a few fun alternatives to the traditional frame:

Why is it that pregnant women look so flipping fantastic? I think it's the "glow" that seems to follow them wherever they go.

These two parents-to-be were no exception.

It was so much fun to photograph Rob and Janelle, while they waited for baby Dexter to arrive.

AND BABY DEXTER MAKES 3...

As  the  winter  season  comes  to  an  end,  so  do  the  many  dark  colors  in  your  wardrobe.  Spring  is  just  around  the  corner,  so  here  are  some  ;ps  to  ge<ng  the  most  out  of  the  rainbow,  without  over-‐doing  it.

The  most  fashionable  way  to  bring  in  those  bright  spring  colors  is  through  accents  in  a  neutral  ouAit.  For  example,  a  bright  pair  of  shoes,  a  colorful  statement  necklace,  or  even  a  neon  belt  are  all  accessories  that  can  safely  be  paired  with  a  neutral  ouAit,  for  a  successful  spring  look!  The  key  is  to  keep  the  color  minimal,  but  present.  Remember  that  the  more  vibrant  or  overwhelming  the  color,  (or  paGern  for  that  maGer)  the  more  aGen;on  will  be  drawn  to  that  area.  So  if  you  aren’t  comfortable  showing  off  your  waist  with  a  bright  belt,  make  sure  that  you  instead  surround  it  with  low-‐key  colors.

Also  as  we  are  all  trying  to  shed  those  extra  winter  pounds,  here  is  a  good  way  to  hide  your  least  favorite  aspects.  Darker  colors  are  the  most  pleasing  on  the  body  because  they  tend  to  hide  your  least  favorite  feature.  But  if  you  are  proud  of  your  efforts  in  the  gym  lately,  and  are  ready  to  show  off  your  figure,

lighter  colors  (especially  white)  draw  the  eye.  So  be  wise  when  contempla;ng  your  wardrobe,  and  make  choices  that  will  please  you  and  your  figure.

It  is  easy  in  the  transi;on  from  spring  to  summer  to  feel  the  need  to  update  your  child’s  wardrobe,  because  lets  face  it,  we  love  it  when  our  kids  look  cute!  But  some;mes,  it  feels  like  back-‐to-‐school  shopping  because  the  spending  never  ends.

Really,  all  your  kids  need  are  a  few  simple  and  versa;le  new  pieces  to  create  that  summer  wardrobe!

Start  with  the  tops.  A  few  new  solid  colored  shirts  and  maybe  a  jean  jacket  can  be  mixed

up  to  create  tons  of  new  looks  that  never  go  out  of  style!  Instead  of  the  flashy,  blinged-‐out  buGerfly  top,  opt  for  the  colorful  V-‐neck  or  the  simple  nau;cal  stripes.  These  styles  tend  to  stay  trendy,  and  can  be  layered  during  the  colder  months  so  you  won’t  have  any  regrets.

With  the  boGoms,  grab  a  few  new  pairs  of  basic  colored  shorts  and  a  skirt!    Kids  usually  opt  for  comfort  first,  so  to  be  sure  you’re  not  was;ng  any  dollars,  find  clothes  that  are  both  cute  and  comfy!

The  last  items  that  are  key  to  upda;ng  are  accessories:  shoes,  headbands,  bracelets,  etc.  Some;mes  it  is  beGer  to  invest  in  a  few  of  these  smaller  items  that  can  change  a  whole  ouAit  completely!  Inexpensive  and  easy  to  find,  accessories  are  a  smart  avenue  for  the  keen  parent.
