The pub was established in 1763 and has been witness to many historical events linked with Bow Street Runners who were the first British police force. The pub was almost certainly frequented by them and has a cell in the basement that was used to house prisoners.

Over five floors and with five distinct and individual spaces there’s something for everyone.Whether you are looking for a small drinks party or a full on Christmas feast, our team is on hand to cater for any requests and work to any budget to make your party go off with a bang!

An oasis in the heart of central London, our

rooftop lets you take in views of the Royal

Opera House and surrounding area. With an

English Garden it truly feels like you’re miles

away from the hustle and bustle of Theatreland.

Rooftop is available all year round with an

awning, outdoor heaters and a seated space

inside if the weather is unkind. We can host your

perfect team meetings with facilities to use TV

& WIFI. Whether it’s a birthday drinks & nibbles

or exclusive central London dining experience.

You can pre-order your own private fridge full

of goodies of your choice or ring us with a

phone if you need anything extra!

Our garden room located on our fourth floor is

a stylish new addition to Bow Street. Adorned

with antique botanical prints and plates it

also boasts your very own drinks trolley! In the

wintery months what better way to start your

party than to use the rooftop for drinks then

down to the garden room for your meal. Why

not create your own music playlist which can

be played throughout the room. You can also

pre-order your own fridge full of delicious drinks

& anything else, just ring us up with a Garden

Room phone!

One of our quirkiest spaces, we call it our

‘Inspector’s Office’ because it’s like an old-

fashioned office equipped with board games,

armchairs and your very own fridge full of

goodies. There’s a turntable (stocked full of

vinyl) and typewriters should you feel the need

to write a quick note to someone. Ideal for

meetings to host your important conferences

with use of our TV, WIFI & Microphone. We will

also provide you pencils & papers. To intimate

engagement drinks & nibbles to celebrate

your special day with us!

THE INSPECTOR’S OFFICE

Our Fielding room is a quintessential English

dining room. Adorned in William Morris

wallpaper it’s the perfect spot for large parties.

Room can be decorated for your unique style &

give you the personal touch to ensure you will

have the best day.

This space is sometimes used for larger parties

Half day rate £35 per person (Minimum of 6 people)

WIFI: Bow Street Tavern has a free WIFI to use.Hire charge: We do not add any hire charges for any of our spaces. We ask that you will achieve a minimum spend for your event.Payments: We ask that card authorisation is be done to hold the date & larger parties will require a deposit to confirm the booking. This is refundable on the day or can be redeemed against the balance of your final bill.Opening times are as follows: MON TO THURS 11:00-23:30 FRI & SAT 11:00-00:00 SUN 12:00-22:30. However if you’re having a big bash we can apply to open later. We’re happy to open earlier for meetings.Corkage: You are welcome to bring in something special from the cellar! We apply a corkage charge of £15 per 750ml bottle of still wine and £20 per 750ml bottle for sparkling.

PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS: We are happy to accept provisional bookings, which will only be held for 5 working days, during which time we must receive the full deposit.PAYMENT SECTION: These will be taken as confirmation of booking and will be held against cancellation, failure to reach minimum spend or damages (see loss or damage). Providing there are no damages to be settled, deposit will be returned onto a credit/debit card. Deposits may only be paid via online link, credit/debit card or in cash unless otherwise agreed in advance.BAR TAKE-OVERS: These are subject to an agreed minimum spend. 50% of the minimum spend is required in advance with the outstanding 50% payable on the date of the event. If the agreed minimum spend is not reached on the night the customer is liable for the shortfall.CANCELLATION: For all pre-booked events cancellation is required in writing 15 days prior to the event and deposit will be refunded in full. For all pre-booked events cancelled 8-14 days prior to the event, half of your deposit will be forfeit. For all pre-booked events cancelled 7 days or less prior to the event, full deposit is forfeit.NO SHOW: In the event of no shows, your full card authorisation will be forfeit and you will be charged the food spend per head, drinks pre-ordered and any other costs involved in the event on top.CONFIRMATION OF NUMBERS: Confirmation of numbers must be finalised 48 hours prior to the event. Additions made after this time can be made and we will do our best to accommodate your booking, however we cannot guarantee availability for additional numbers. Any deposit left after repairs will be refunded by the same means in which it was paid. In the event of damage being more than the deposit, Bow Street Tavern has the right to payment in full.PAYMENTS: All accounts are to be paid on the day of the event by cash, credit or debit card unless otherwise agreed. Please note that gratuities of 12.5% will be added to party bookings of 10 or more.
