Primary News What a week! ‘Thank you’ to you all for your messages of support this week with our SIAMS inspection.
The day went very well and reinforced just how thankful I am for our children, staff, parents and governors. I would like to share a special ‘thank you’ to our governors who work incredibly hard to raise standards through their support, monitoring and volunteering significant amounts of time to the school. We couldn’t do our jobs without them.
We look forward to sharing the final report once it has been published.
The Christmas hampers are displayed proudly in the library and will make their way to the Tythe Barn to be raffled off at Saturday’s Christmas Fayre. Again, this was made possible by parent support– thank you for your donations and to the ‘hamper team’ lead by Mrs Box.

Christmas Jumper Day
Children are invited to come to school wearing a Christmas jumper on Friday 13th December for a £1 donation. All monies raised will be donated to Save The Children.
Class One—Visit from Suffolk Wildlife
Trust
Last Friday afternoon the Explorers
enjoyed learning all about the homes of
different wild animals in Suffolk. The
session began with the opportunity to
look at footage of different wild animals
in gardens around the county. The
children then explored the different ways
animals make their nests. They looked
at a variety of different birds nests, a
section of a beehive and at a mermaids
purse. The session continued with a
nest box trail where the children
matched the nest box with the animal
they thought lived in it. The children then
discovered the type of leaves
hedgehogs use for their nests when they teamed
up to play a hedgehog nest game. Finally the
children enjoyed getting outside and collecting the
right kind of leaves to make nests for their very
own little woollen hedgehogs. A great afternoon
was had all round.
Posada
We are looking forward to our Posada Assembly on
Monday with the Open the Book team. The first
candle on our advent wreath (kindly donated by Mrs
Box) will be lit and a nativity scene displayed in the
hall. The children will then devliver the nativity scene
to our neighbour Olive before it makes it’s way
around the village and to the Church in time for
Christmas.
