The Ladies’ Weekend, organised by the women of DCLM Liverpool, attracted delegates from various churches across the Northwest and beyond. During the weekend women were challenged to open their eyes and see the needs of the people around us. God needs us to complement the work that support agencies are doing, putting smiles on the faces of many vulnerable people.faces of many vulnerable people.

Pastor Ayo delivered a befitting opening message on Friday 16th March titled “Women of Purpose.” He challenged the women not to be content living an ordinary life, but to step out of their comfort zone and make a mark by living out God’s purpose for womanhood.

The lineup of speakers for Saturday 17th did not disappoint. Esther Kumuyi opened the day by challenging participants to dare to make a telling difference at such a time as this. Subsequently, compelling talks by representatives from Christians Against Poverty (CAP), Centrepoint Christian Church, and Beyond the Streets, an organization thatthat reaches out to women involved in prostitution, reminded the women that genuine faith ought to be embedded in practical love.

Moni Akinsanya, DCLM Liverpool, said, “The ideas shared at the ladies weekend have caused us all to look ahead and consider what we can do to impact our community. I am confident that, with God’s help, we can and will do something!”

TheThe conference came to a climax on Mothering Sunday, when Pastor Ayo delivered a message on “The Holistic Ministry of a Successful Woman,” and reinforced the need for the women to rise and shine practically for Jesus in their communities.
