We celebrate Baptisms most Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm. The baptism of your child is a great time to renew your own faith in Jesus Christ. Call the Office to schedule 856-983-0077
We have special programs for children, teens and adults who would like to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments. Please call 856-983-0077.
LOVE IS IN THE AIR Congratulations to all who have been recently engaged! We invite you to consider a Church wedding (contrary to what you may have heard, Church weddings do not have to be BIG church weddings!). We would be honored to help you prepare for your wedding day. Please call the Parish Office (ask for Pat—856.983.0077) at your earliest convenience. Marriage prep in the Church is easier (and more fun) than you may think!
CONSIDERING A DESTINATION WEDDING? If you are considering a destination wedding, please give us a call to discuss available options to have your marriage blessed as one of the seven Sacraments. Even if you aren’t sure what the Sacrament of Marriage is all about, give us a call. We think you will be pleasantly surprised!
ALREADY CIVILLY MARRIED?
Or married in another faith tradition? We would love to talk to you about having your marriage blessed in the Catholic Church.

PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION (during the time we cannot be present for Mass) “My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I de-sire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You are already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.”
GOSPEL MATTHEW 18:21-35 Peter approached Jesus and asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times. That is why the kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who decided to settle accounts with his servants. When he began the accounting, a debtor was brought before him who owed him a huge amount. Since he had no way of paying it back, his master ordered him to be sold, along with his wife, his children, and all his property, in payment of the debt. At that, the servant fell down, did him homage, and said, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back in full.’ Moved with compassion the master of that servant let him go and forgave him the loan. When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a much smaller amount. He seized him and started to choke him, demanding, ‘Pay back what you owe.’ Falling to his knees, his fellow servant begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’ But he refused. Instead, he had the fellow servant put in prison until he paid back the debt. Now when his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were deeply disturbed, and went to their master and reported the whole affair. His master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to. Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?’ Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt. So will my heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives your brother from your heart.” (Click Here for All this Sunday’s Readings)
QUESTIONS TO SHARE
1) How do you understand Jesus’ words… “unless you forgive from the heart”.
2) When feelings of hatred, resentment, bitterness and revenge toward another take hold in your mind and heart, we are living in a prison of our own, insulating us from the mercy of God. What is it you do, and how are you overcoming this so that you live in God’s love?
3) What has helped you when you found it difficult to forgive others for the harm they have done to you?
WEDDING BANNS Second Announcement:
Gerald O’Keefe & Enjanae Perkins
Third Announcement:
Daniel McCallan & Caroline DiBartolomeo
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
You may like today’s Gospel if you like being forgiv-en. But if you are the one who has to do the forgiving, chances are good this one doesn’t make your top ten Gospel list.
It’s Matthew 18:21-35. Jesus says we are to forgive others seventy-seven times. In other words, a lot. In other words, the way God forgives us. Then Jesus gives us a parable to illustrate two things: first, the kind of forgiveness God gives each one of us and, second, the kind of unforgiving heart God is not particularly fond of.
Jesus reveals a God of incredible compassion, a compassion that includes unbounded mercy and forgiveness. It isn’t unreasonable of God to then ex-pect us, the ones forgiven, to do the same for others. Not once. Not twice. Seventy-seven times.
There’s the rub. We would have much preferred it if Jesus had said, “Three strikes and you’re out.” We ourselves say that a lot. We say it like it is biblical. But it’s not. Jesus would have made a lousy umpire.
Peace!
Fr. Rich

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BLOOD DRIVE In Memory Grand Knight Carmen Riccardi
October 12th 1pm – 6pm
The Blue Barn on Tuckerton Rd The Knights of Columbus Council 6530 is sponsoring a Columbus Day Blood Drive for Monday, October 12th. This drive is dedicated to the memory of long-term parishioner & past Grand Knight Carmen Riccardi who passed away earlier this year. Due to Covid-19 and for the safety of our school children the location has been moved to Blue Barn on Tuckerton Rd. One pint of blood donated can help to save up to 3 lives. With the Covid pandemic many drives had to be cancelled this year so the need for blood is urgent. The donation is painless and lasts about one hour. Walk ins are always welcome but it is strongly suggested that you schedule an appointment at the Red Cross website: www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. All presenting donors will receive a coupon for a free soft serve ice cream compliments of Rick & Cheryl Cirelli of Leo’s Ice Cream of Medford. Also all donors can enter a raffle for a chance to win several door prizes. If you have any questions about the blood drive please feel free to call Dean DeRose at 856-596-6404 or email [email protected].
