Prayer For Vocations O Dearest Jesus, Son of the Eternal Father and Marry Immaculate, grant to our young people the generosity

necessary to follow Your call, and the courage required to overcome all obstacles to their vocations. Give to the

parents that faith, love and spirt of sacrifice which will inspire them to offer their sons and daughters to God’s service and cause them to rejoice exceedingly whenever one of their family is called to the

religious life. Let Your example and that of Blessed Mother and St. Joseph encourage both young people and parents and let Your grace

A word of Thanks from Bishop David D. Kagan…..

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, I write today to express my gratitude for your generous re-

sponse to our 27th Annual African Mission Appeal which was

held in our parishes on March 5th and 6th. Your wonderful generosity demonstrates your spiritual uni-

ty with Pope Francis’ strong pastoral dedication to the poor. The money collected for the African Mission Appeal sup-

ports our missionary activity in Kisii, Kenya, East Africa. You

can be very proud of all the missionary work that we are able to

accomplish because of your generosity. On behalf of our poor

brothers and sisters and all the orphaned children whom you

have helped, I offer my heartfelt thank you. I hope you get a chance to read about the exciting ministry

that Brent and Jessica Naslund and their family are accomplish-

ing because of your support in the quarterly issues of the Kenya

Connection newsletter. They are full of interesting articles de-

scribing the wonderful work and ministry made possible by your

contributions. More information can also be found on our dioc-

esan website and the African Mission Facebook page. Once again, I thank each and every one of you who support-

ed our African Mission Appeal. You are faithful and generous

stewards. Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend David D. Kagan Bishop of Bismarck

Dr. Ray Guarendi is coming to Dickinson!!

Wednesday, April 13 at 7:00 PM (MT); 8:00 PM (CT) in the Trinity High School Auditorium on the campus of Trinity High School. “Dr. Ray” as he is commonly known, is the father of ten children, a clinical psychologist, author, speaker, and nationally syndicated radio and tele-

vision host (you can listen to his show – The Doctor Is In – daily on our Catholic radio station, Real Presence Radio, 91.3 FM at 12 Noon

CT). He has vast experience in schools, mental health centers, substance abuse programs, inpatient psychiatric centers, juvenile courts, and in private practice. Dr. Ray will address parents, teachers, and anyone who works with young people to-day who oftentimes have their confidence, peace of mind, and authority undercut

by a number of widespread myths that have been pushed upon them by the “experts”, the media, and our culture. Dr. Ray’s presentation, Standing Strong, will combine experience, wit, and humor to foster self-confidence and peace of mind to

those charged with the responsibility of raising and educating our youth today.
