PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, you have been blessed and favored by God. You became not only

the Mother of the Redeemer but the Mother of the redeemed as well.

We come to you today as your loving children. Watch over us and take care of us.

As you held the child Jesus in your loving arms, so take us in your arms.

Be a mother ready at every moment to help us. For God who is mighty has done great things

for you, and His mercy is from age to age to those who love Him.

Our greatest fear is that in time of temptation we may fail to call out to you, and become lost

children. Intercede for us, dear Mother, in obtaining pardon for our sins, love for Jesus, final

perseverance, and the grace always to call upon you, Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Amen.

NAPROTECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTORY SESSION

Wednesday, November 8th at 7:30 p m

in the Holy Cross Parish Center

The Creighton Model System is a medically standardized system that is the first of its kind to network family planning with reproductive health. It can be used by married couples to achieve, avoid, or space pregnancies, or by any woman to monitor her health.

In conjunction with its related women's health science of NaProTECHNOLOGY, it offers a fertility care vs. a fertility control-based approach to medical evaluation and treat-ment, and offers new hope to couples struggling with infer-tility. Please visit www.cufertilitycare.org for more infor-mation or to register for the session.

Santa is Coming to Swann Special Care Center

We need your help! We are providing Christmas gifts for the residents of Swann,

ages 11 to 69. With each name there is a wish list. Because of budget cuts they are in great need of help with this project. They are asking for simple things like gift cards, clothing, toiletries, pillows, etc.

Look for the Christmas tree in the back of the church with names and some information on each person for whom we would like to provide a gift. You can also get a name from the Parish Office. Please drop off the gifts in the office by Friday, December 1st. If you have questions, call the Parish Office at 352-8748. Thanks for your kindness.

SHOP WITH SCRIPT

ShopwithScrip is a rebate fundraiser that supports Holy Cross school families with their school fees. We invite you to participate in this great effort to support our school. Just purchase a gift card at face value for places you already shop (groceries, gas, fast food, clothing, etc.). Then 50% of the rebate is applied to your family’s account in June. The accumulation of rebates is applied to the following year’s fees. If you do not have a student enrolled, you may direct your rebate to support the school, a specific family, or the PTC.

We will have Scrip To Go for sale at coffee & donuts after the morning Masses on Sunday, November 12th, and also on December 10th. Scrip is always available for purchase in the Parish Office during regular office hours. Questions? Contact Angela Douglas at [email protected].

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Come and wish Leonard Doyle a Happy 89th Birthday at an Open House at the Parish Center next Sunday, Nov. 12th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. All are welcome! No gifts please.

CRAFTERS NEEDED!

Are you a talented crafter with spe-cial homemade ideas you would like to share? Please consider donating them to the Children’s Christmas Shop here at Holy Cross School. It takes many helpers to make this shop a success every year, but we have grateful shoppers who appreciate all the effort. For more information, call Teresa at 217 722-0384.

Want to help more? Please purchase gift cards for Sam’s, Amazon, Target, Aldi, or Walgreens. We use these gift cards to purchase diapers or other goods for our families. Please bring the cards to the Parish Office.
