TRANSCRIPT
We at Immaculate Conception are a group of people bound together by our belief in Jesus Christ as our Savior. When we were baptized, we were called to share in His work. Therefore we pledge ourselves to build a community where
all are welcomed, loved, needed and appreciated. Armed with the faith in the Immaculate Conception of Mary, we will celebrate the gift of life together in word and sacrament.

CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
Lord, we would grow with you
New shoots reaching out, Hands stretched upward
Like leaves newly formed
Soaking up your light and warmth
Lord, we would grow with you
Lord, we would grow with you
In sunshine and rain, In darkness and light In cold days and summer days
From Springtime to Winter Lord, we would grow with you
Lord, we would grow with you
And bring forth fruit, That is pleasing to you
Fed by your living water Giving sustenance to others
Lord, we would grow with you

#Why I'm Catholic
“One of the things I have always loved about the Catholic Church is how the general order of the Mass has remained the same for 2000 years. I also love the special devotion to The Blessed Mother Mary. My dad taught me as a boy, to show reverence to the Eucharist. He also said a man should always stand up for what he believes. I feel the Catholic Church has stood up for what it believes is truth. Submitted by P. King

How everything in the Catholic Church points to Heaven
Have you ever sat in church and looked around, not fully understanding all the vessels, vestments and articles surrounding you? Each week we will explore one item, why it’s relevant, so you can appreciate the beauty and depth of our Catholic Faith. We hope you will go into church, find the item, and watch how it is used in the Mass. God bless us in our journey. Nave: Nave comes from the Latin word navis meaning "ship". The nave is the area in the church where everyone gathers for the actual celebration
of the Mass. It is the "ship" of the church! Every pew in the nave should be focused on God in the sanctuary. After the legalization of Christianity, new church buildings were constructed with open naves where people stood or knelt down. It is not an auditorium, but a place for worship where earth meets heaven. We are strengthened by God's Word and the Eucharist while on the ship to salvation. Good Friday Retreat at ICC
Join us from 5-8 on Good Friday to watch the 5-part DVD study on Holy Week, A Biblical Walk through the Passion. It's the same study we just finished over the past 5 weeks, just this time all in one evening! If you missed all or part and have an interest in learn-ing more, join us for a light dinner of soup and salad and some informal discussion. Please sign up in the vestibule.
Dear friends, We made it to Palm Sunday. We survived Lent! Some people feel Christians experience some unex-pected trials during Lent. Have you? Palm Sunday ushers in the end of the 40 days of Lent. We’ll take home palm branches to tuck behind a crucifix or special family picture. We’ll sing Hosanna, a word we only use throughout the year when we sing the Holy, Holy during Mass. It reminds us of Palm Sunday! Christians around the world remember important times in the life of Jesus on special days throughout the year; Christmas was when he was born, Easter was when he was raised from the dead, Pentecost was when he gave the Apostles the gift of the Holy Spirit, etc. But what happened on Palm Sunday and the Holy Week afterwards, in the life of Jesus? If you are at a time in your life that you want to know more about this week, join us on Good Friday from 5-8 pm. We will have soup and salad and watch the 5-part DVD study on what happened during Holy Week in Jesus life. It’s called a Biblical Walk through the Passion. This is the study we just offered over the last 5 weeks in Lent, and we felt it was such an excellent study, we want to offer it to more people this Friday. It’s an excellent, engaging presentation, on location in Jerusalem, taught by Edward Sri. Please consider joining us! There is a sign up in the vestibule. Thank you to Jim Blauvelt for preparing our palms this week and Janet Taylor for taking on the task of folding the bulletins. Thank you to all those men that are members of our local Knights of Columbus and hosted the chicken dinner last week. And you did a fantastic job of cleaning the kitchen after the dinner! And finally, thank you to Hazel Shields and Edilu Hunt for the extra time spent in the kitchen, preparing for future funeral luncheons. Peace to you and your family this Holy Week!~Mary Wentlent
