and in full production in their new facility. This project

also caught the eye of the Canadian Wood Council who

has now competed and published a case study on this

The newest brewery in the Rocky Mountains!

Michigan lakefront masterpiece.

This stunning Michigan home may find its’ place on the

southern shore of Lake Huron but much of its design

theme started in the Alberta Rockies… Although this

project is still in the design and detail stage, site work has

already been taking place to make ready for a summer

build on this picturesque waterfront property. Realistic

3D rendering, seen here, has helped the clients visualize

decisions and choices ahead of time.

This Collingwood show piece is going vertical and is the talk of the town!

UPSTREAM CONSTRUCTION is

orchestrating this enormous undertaking

and the project could not be going any

better. The crews worked last fall and through

the winter to ready the huge foundation and

infrastructure for getting a jump on a very early

spring Timberframe raising. This is also the

largest project to date to have our custom CTF

antique textured finish and the clients could not

be happier. We look forward to more exciting

projects with Andrew Noxon and the Upstream

Construction team!

This timberframe has some special features…all timbers were upsized to matchthe scale of the home, and each timber was left rough circle sawn and given ourcustom Antiqued finish by first using a burned and brushed process and then applying a 2 coat factory stain and sealer. Heavy steel fasteners and bracketswere also distressed and “tumbled” to give them that rustic look and feel.

Rick Schacher has been

involved in the forestry

and timber business

most of his life here in

the Columbia Valley.

Joining Canadian

Timberframes in the

early years, Rick’s

contribution to our

manufacturing process

remains invaluable.

From overseeing the

huge log inventory,

being the primary

sawyer, and being

responsible for the care

and maintenance of our mill and heavy equipment, Rick is

our “go to” guy. It’s worth noting that the easy way to find

Rick in the busy summer season is to look for the cloud

of dust….he’ll be just ahead of it!

Sean Schacher is our Senior CNC operator, and like his

father, he not only oversees and runs the equipment but is

instrumental in the repairs and maintenance of this vital

and world class piece of timber framing technology.

Sean’s keen eye is also always monitoring timber quality

and sizing to ensure that standards are met before any

timber goes to the finishing and packaging area.
