Circular Statements
Artwork by Janet Van Fleet
All pieces in the Circular Statements body of work use disks in a grid that casts shadows on the wall behind. The work on the wall below is
Music of the Spheres, exhibited at the Cooler Gallery.
Music of the Spheres was purchased in 2009 by NRG Systems in Hinesburg, Vermont for their corporate offices.
This is an installation entitled In the Web, exhibited in Nagoya, Japan, as part of an exhibit called ON THE PLANET that celebrated 2010 as
the International Year of Biodiversity. The installation, consisting of polychrome disks and buttons in a fine wire grid, was 36 feet long.
The work from In the Web has been exhibited widely, and is almost completely sold as of fall, 2011. Below, installing some of the remaining
sections of disks at Shore Galleries in Provincetown, MA, 2011

Business Applications
All of Janet Van Fleet’s work in the
Circular Statements
body of work is appropriate for use in a business environment. It is cheerful, multi-layered, and continues to engage interest over time when installed in public spaces.
