Although the Wisconsin winters prevent some of themore famous circuses from visiting this area during thewinter months, the Kohler Co.'s annual Children's Christ-mas Party (Dec, 13) was truly an exception.

The children of Kohler employees were treated to somefine circus acts at the beautiful Kohler Memorial Theatre, whichseats 1,200 people. Four perfor-mances during the morning andafternoon drew straw houses, with a total of 5000 in atten-dance.

Santa Claus was also in townwith his Elves and so was thefamous clown Percy Rademacher,of Hagenbeck-Wallace fame. MelHummitzsch and his well-knowncircus clown band provided thebackground music for the acts.

Six exciting acts thrilledthe kiddies and parents thisyear, and included:

The Claytons - acrobats, hand balancing and whip andrope acts, from St8 Louis (Mo.)They've been on the Ed Sulli-van Show and numerous circusesand sport shows„

The well-known Carmen DelMolino on the high wire and webact. The talented Carmen andvivacous crowd pleaser also com-bined with her husband to pre-sent four black bears in someunusual routines.

Joe Frisco and his amazing"Black Jack" a trained pony de-

lighted the children and answer-ed their questions. Joe's train-ed elephant "Donna" added caketo the frosting and the kiddieshowled with delight.

It was a gala circus treatfor all concerned. The ChristmaParty was sponsored by the Koh-ler Co. (in business since 1873bwho manufacture plumbing fix-tures, light plants and potteryfixtures. They employ some6,000 people.
