west coast show by M. L. DUPONT

Mike Swan, co-owner of the £>wan Bros. Circus, reports theshow's 1976 edition will be biggei and better than ever before.Formed in 1975 by Andy and Mike Swan, the show had a busy seasonplaying fairs, shopping centers and schools.

Many fans will recall that Like was on Fisher Bros, in 1974as "Sparky" the clown, and also handled many other duties. Andyhad gone back to college. After the '74 season Andy also went tocollege. It was at that time that the brothers formed their ownshow. All the physical equipment vas built and painted by the twoboys, although trucks and tents were purchased.

By the summer of '75 they had a one ringer on the road withboth boys doing all the set-up work, performing and the tear-downoperation.

Mike, who now uses the name "Hi Tops, the Clown" says thisyear's acts will be about the same, but much stronger. "Our highwire is now up to 15* and we are

10going to add a 10 ft. extension. This means the wire will be runfrom a center pole, with the actpresented above the tent.

Mike is now training a"Toby" which will be added tothe program. Both boys work inclown make-up - Andy in white-face, Mike in tramp.

An 18x30 ft. side show isto be carried and will include:magic, bed of nails, fire eat-ing, etc. Again each number willbe presented by the two brothers

During the winter they'vebeen working as "jesters" at theOld Eagle Theatre in Sacramento(Calif.) not far from theirhome.

STEVE McPEAK (Continued)in a hammock suspended from oneof the cables.

McPeak reportedly wantedto set a new record for thelength of time spent on an over-head cable. One report indicatedhe was seeking publicity for theTV show "Streets of San Francis-co" in which he is featured.

Last November, McPeak rodedam*him

Security officials at thedam said they would arrest himwhen he came down. No one wasvolunteering to go up after him.

The university's College ofDentistry has obtained Ziggy'shead, neck, jaw muscles, jawpoints, tongue* larynx and theend of his trunk. "These thingsare priceless," says Dr. E.LloydDuBrul, who heads the oral ana-tomy department.
