Important Firmware Notes 1. When upgrading FROM uEFI version 1.07: Due to issue detailed in IBM
Retain Tip H197332 (detailing where the system boots to the backup uEFI image) it will be necessary to follow one of the workarounds documented in the retain tip and paraphrased below. See the Retain tip for a full overview of the issue. The following workarounds will only be required once after upgrading from uEFI version 1.07:
a. Pressing F3 during the Power On Self Test will switch the system back to the primary bank, OR
b. Doing a cold boot (removal and then restoration of external power to the server chassis)
2. The RSA2 Firmware updates are Optional updates provided for compatibility with newer client side JRE versions, and are not automatically applied like the other more critical firmware updates. As such they will need to be manually selected on affected systems in order to be applied. Please refer to following for details on JRE and browser/OS requirements: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/systems/support/system_x_pdf/43w7827.pdf
