Set of standards that ensures consistent design and identity for the writing and

design of documents for a specific organization

Per City of Dallas PIO, it is not necessary to redo documents already printed or online, but going forward all documents, both printed and electronic, should follow these guidelines.

Navigate through the Style Guide using the menu on the left. The first few choices are those discussed in this presentation. The others are intended mainly for web developers.

LOGOSThese logos are all approved City of Dallas logos.

They can be downloaded as a Zip file, in either PNG or EPS format.

FONTSFonts should be Lato or Roboto, in any version. Both fonts

can be downloaded from the Print & Social Media Resources Page

(not the Typography page).

COLORS

Each brand color includes the RGB code (a series of three numbers) and a six digit Hexadecimal Codes aka Web Safe Colors.

These primary colors are already in use in many aspects of our work.

FONT COLORS

White and cool-toned grays can be used as well, but not black. Dark grey is the recommended color for use in place of black.

Example: To change a red shape in Powerpoint to a City of Dallas blue, select the shape, click on the Format tab, click on Shape Fill, and select More Fill Colors (continued on next slide).
