On Jul y 06, 2009 and March 06, 2010, pursuant to the authority granted by Section 91.103 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, the Department ofBuilding and Safety (the "Department") investigated and identified code violat ions at: 13043 West Ga1·ber Street, Los Angeles, California (the "Property"). A copy ofthe title repmi which includes a fu ll legal description of the property is attached as Exhibit A
Fo llowing the Department's invest igation an order or orders to comply were issued to the property owner and all interested parties. Pursuant to Section 98 .041 l (a) the order warned that "a proposed noncompl iance fee may be imposed for fa ilure to comply wi th the order within 15 days after the compl iance date specified in the order or unless an appeal or slight modification is filed within 15 days after the compliance date." The owners failed to comply within the time prescribed by ordinance. The Department imposed noncompliance fee as fo ll ows:

Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 7.35.3 of the Los Angeles Adminish·ative Code, it is proposed a lien for a tota l sum of $3,051.02 recorded against the property. It is requested that the Honorable City Council ofthe City of Los Angeles (the "City Counci l") des ignate the time and place protest can be heard concerning this matter, as set forth in Sections 7.35.3 and 7.35.5 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code.
lt is fu11herrequested that the City Council instruct the Department to deposit to Dept 08, Fund 48R, Balance Sheet Account 2200, any payment received against this lien in the amount of$ 3,051.02 on the referenced property . A copy of the title report which includes a fu ll legal description of the prope1iy is attached as Exhibit A. A list of all the names and addresses of owners and al l interested parties entitled to notice is included (Exhibit B). Also attached is a report which includes the cunent fair market value of the property including all encumbrances of record on the prope1iy as of the date of the report (Exhibit C).

NOTIFICATION OF THE HOUSING DEPARTMENT: The Department of Building and Safety is required by law to refer to the Housing Department any building containing an untenable residential unit.
