RECOMMENDATIONS:

A. That the name of the private driveway on Lankershirn Boulevard northerly of Valley heartDrive, shown on Exhibit "A-l ", be established as River Road (Private Driveway), and thename of the private driveway on Lankershim Boulevard southerly of Valleyheart Drive,shown on Exhibit "A-2", be established as Bob Hope Avenue (Private Driveway).

B. That the Council, find that the name establishment is exempt from the CaliforniaEnvironmental Quality Act of 1970, pursuant to Article HI, Class 5(4) ofthe City'sEnvironmental Guidelines.

C. That the City Clerk be instructed to transmit the following:

L A copy of the City Council's action on this matter to the Board ofSupervisors of the County of Los Angeles pursuant to Section 34092 oftheGovernment Code.

DISCUSSION:

Request: The petitioner, NBCUniversal, is requesting the City to establish the name oftheprivate driveway lying on Lankershim Boulevard northerly of Valleyheart Drive, as shown onExhibit "A-I", as River Road and the name of the private driveway lying on LankershimBoulevard southerly of Valley heart Drive, as shown on Exhibit "A-2", as Bob Hope Avenue.

The petitioner is requesting the name establishment for the private driveway, currently shown asMuddy Waters to be changed to River Road, to celebrate 100 years of movie making. Also, thename establishment for the private driveway, currently shown as Jimi Hendrix Drive, to bechanged to Bob Hope Avenue, to celebrate 100 years of movie making and to reinforce thestudios primary focus of movie picture and television production.
