The City of Poughkeepsie issued a RFP on 9/26/2012 for performance contracting for energy efficiency and water system improvements.

Wendel issued a proposal on 11/12/2012 and was selected by the City to provide performance contracting services.

The Water Meter project was presented to Council members on 4/22/2013 and approved by the Council on 6/17/2013

Contracts were executed on 9/16/2013 Radio base stations and meter installations began in October

of 2013

In January 2012, the Vermont Department of Health made actual measurements at active smart meters installed by Green Mountain Power in Colchester. The readings from these devices verify that they

emit no more than a small fraction of the RF emitted from a wireless phone, even at very close proximity to the meter, and are well below regulatory limits set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
