Bulky Item CollectionStill working on your spring cleaning list? Let us help! Residentsreceive up to three free bulky item pick-ups per year. Please contact Waste Management Customer Service at least 48 hours in advance of your regular service day to schedule the pickup, or schedule online at home.wm.com/ridgecrest. Acceptable items include furniture, appliances, tires, mattresses and electronics. Non-acceptable items include hazardous waste; machinery and industrial discards; oil, grease, and other liquids; construction and demolition debris; excessively large items. Please do not include cardboard boxes with trash or bags.

Community Battery Drop Off Program

It is illegal to put hazardous materials, such as batteries, in the trash. Waste Management and the City of Ridgecrest make it easy for residents to dispose of household batteries safely, by using the free drop off containers located at the following designated facilities:

•City Hall•Senior Center•Kerr McGee Community Center•Chamber of Commerce

“Pay as You Throw” Program Our Standard Service Offering includes one 95-gallon container for Trash and one 95-gallon container for Recycling. With “Pay as you Throw,” residents may request a 35-gallon or 65-gallon container for Trash at a reduced rate. Contact Customer Service for more information.

Sharps Home DeliveryResidents can safely dispose of needles, lancets and other sharps from home using Waste Management’s Sharps Mail Back Program. Contact Waste Management Customer Service at (760) 463-6024 for your FREE container and it will be delivered right to your door. Once the Sharps kit is full, mail it back using the pre-paid postage label. A second kit is available, upon request, for a $5 co-pay.
