MAP & GUIDE 2021-2022

To Our Residents, Business Owners and Visitors –

The City of Weston is pleased to provide you with this complimentary 2021-2022 Map & Guide.

Inside you will fnd a detailed street map, contact information for the City Commission and City departments, as well as an easy to use parks amenities chart inclusive of sports league and recreation information. The Map & Guide is a convenient information resource. Because of COVID-19, some City offces may be temporarily closed to the public, however city services continue uninterrupted. All phones and emails will be answered as normal until we return to ‘normal’, which we hope will be soon.

You will see different providers listed under the various departments and services section of this guide. The reason is that the City of Weston provides services to its residents and businesses through a progressive form of contractual municipal management. The City utilizes public and private sector contracts rather than the traditional method of having numerous city employees. This contractual method of providing services enables the City to acquire and delete the amount of service it needs at any specifc time, to do so in a competitive environment, and to operate without maintaining burdensome overhead.

Weston’s picture-perfect setting is home to a friendly, family-oriented population that is culturally diverse and boasts an actively involved residential and corporate community. Comprised of the fnest residential neighborhoods, Weston has the distinction of having a low crime rate and outstanding public safety services, a visually distinctive and meticulously landscaped environment, a superior parks and recreation system, low millage rate, AAA credit ratings, top-rated public and private schools, and world-class health care facilities.

Weston prides itself on supplying residents and visitors with an unparalleled lifestyle, meeting all your needs within the confnes of the community. Discover Weston and all that it has to offer.W

Homeowner insurance policies do not cover loss due to fooding. Weston participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, which makes coverage available to everyone in the City at a discounted rate. Residents and business owners are urged to buy food insurance to protect against potential devastating loss. Property owners may ensure buildings and contents; renters may insure their possessions. Just because your property has never experienced a food does not guarantee that it will not happen. Consult with your insurance agent regarding appropriate coverage for your home.

If you would like a copy of a FEMA food map, you can order one online at msc.fema.gov or call 1-800-358-9616.

W H O N E E D S F L O O D I N S U R A N C E ?

Your insurance agent can provide you with information regarding food insurance for your home or business. Also, the National Flood Insurance Program is also a informational resource at 1-888-CALL-FLOOD, or visit FEMA.gov.

The Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) shows the food zones for Weston. Insurance agents, lending institutions & community offcials use the FIRM to determine the location of a specifc property and the corresponding food zone. Community offcials use the information to administer food plan management regulations.

The Landscaping Department manages the maintenance of all landscaping and irrigation infrastructure within the City’s public green spaces, including parks and athletic felds, as well as public rights-of-way such as berms and medians. The maintenance of trees on public property includes structural pruning to thin out the upper canopy allowing wind to fow through, reducing trees lost in storms.
