On-Site Meals
Meals should be served in supervised, non-congregate settings
Consideration must be given to how meals are served to enable contact tracing
Additional equipment and resources (time, staff) required to implement meal service outside the cafeteria, or if some students are in cafeteria while others are in classrooms
Measures required to protect students with food allergies – how those may be implemented in a classroom meal setting
Options are:
Cafeteria Service/Cafeteria Dining
Cafeteria Service/Classroom Dining
Classroom Service/Classroom Dining
Alternate Point of Service/Classroom Dining
Note: No decisions have been finalized at this time.

Off-Site Meals
Due to USDA-approved waivers, service options may be “grab and go,” curbside pickup or delivery; all will need to be reviewed for feasibility
In hybrid models, students may take home meals for days they are not on-site
Prepare for and develop methods to assess gaps in off-site service (i.e., sites not accessible, transportation, weather, family-specific conflicts)
Consider bulk packaging/multiple days of meals served at one time (i.e., student on-site on Mondays – takes home food for Tuesday-Friday)
Note: No decisions have been finalized at this time.

Planning Committee: Transportation
18
First Student (elementary and special education students)
Following state guidance, the district is planning to operate yellow buses for general education students at a maximum of 50% capacity. This would mean one student per seat on all large buses, with students from the same household allowed two-to-a-seat
We will adhere to strict social distancing protocols on buses serving students with special needs, with a limited capacity on small buses and wheelchair buses
All students and employees on all First Student buses will be required to wear a mask or other face covering unless there is an underlying medical condition
All buses will be cleaned and sanitized in alignment with CDC guidance
Drivers will wipe down all high-touch areas after each run
First Student also will implement an additional deep-cleaning protocol for all buses
Note: No decisions have been finalized at this time.

Planning Committee: Transportation
19
CDTA (middle school and high school students)
Limiting ridership on tripper and regular-service buses to a maximum of 20 to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Eligible middle school and high school students can use their swiper card/student ID to ride any CDTA bus and must follow all CDTA guidance
CDTA strongly recommends all riders wear a mask or other face covering, in alignment with Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order requiring masks in public when distancing of 6 feet or more cannot be observed
Following Department of Health and CDC health and safety guidance:
Modified bus and facility cleaning processes, using a deep-cleaning liquid that contains a hospital-grade sanitizing agent
Bus operators have access to face masks, disposable gloves and sanitizing wipes to do additional wipe-downs of their work areas
Cleaners doing wipe-downs of buses at layover areas multiple times daily
Note: No decisions have been finalized at this time.
