INCREASING PLAY AREA
Additional Site Development: 52,272 GSF | 1.2 acres
Estimated Cost Value $750,000-$1,000,000
TALLEY STREET | SITE ANALYSIS
CITY OF DECATUR TREE ORDINANCERequires 45% tree canopy coverage of the site (± 2.88 acres of the site).
Our goal is to fully comply with the coverage (not pay into the tree bank).
We are proposing to protect approximately ±1.2 acres of woods.
The rest of the canopy coverage will be met with new trees on site.
More encroachment into tree save areas will necessitate trees being paid into the tree bank (up to 75% of the required canopy can be paid off).
Paying into the tree bank greatly diminishes the site’s ecology, wildlife habitat, beauty, educational opportunities and increasing stormwater volume and runoff.
