! So social inclusion is:
Social inclusion is a basic human right!!!
Making social inclusion happen
! Do we as a society deny access to health care, education, food and water or safety to embers of our community?
! Why then do we deny the right to social inclusion when it comes to sport?
Exclusion
! A lot of men have HEAPS of opportunities in sports. Women on the other hand have a gap.

“Claire is certainly a very proactive member of not only our football club, but the community generally.
She uses football as the method of driving ways To improve inclusion of disadvantaged and disabled.”
Jon Thiele TUFC President
“Claire was so passionate about this topic that she wrote a letter and sent it to the FFA, the Australian Sports Commission, Human Rights Commission, Minister for Sport Peter Dutton, and Shadow Minister of
Sport Bernie Ripoll and many others. After more lobbying she received an audience with:
August 2014 – met with Kate Lundy, Deputy Opposition Leader Tanya Plibersek and Labor shadow Sports Minister Bernie Ripoll
August 2014 – FFA CEO David Gallop Graham Arnold signed his old Socceroos shirt (4) which was donated by former Pararoos Coach Paul
Brown for auctioning FFA Cup fundraising buckets – raised $1,200
I understand the amount raised so far by the Savethepararoos campaign is up to around $9,000 – well the Tuggeranong United FC would like to pledge an additional $1,000 to the campaign to get it over the $10,000
mark “ Jon Thiele – TUFC President
“If the Football Federation and the Australian Sports
Commission are taking away the money for our country’s
only Paralympics football team that allows athletes with a disability to play, what hope is the
re for us kids? “What do we have to aim for? What happens to our heroes? How is that promoting encouragement, respect or inclusion?”
Claire Falls in her letter to Federal Sports Minister
Peter Dutton
“Why is Social Inclusion Important?”
! Social inclusion and equality are important because they provide opportunity. They provide respect towards the person receiving them.
!
! When a person, regardless of their gender, race, or abilities are included it empowers them.

Founder and Director of FEVER – Football for EVERYone
It is my right to play football. It is my right to play with an audible ball in the mainstream.
It is my right to play along side males. It is my right to speak up for change.
It is my right to lobby governments when I disagree. It is my right to request a review and request an appeal for change
in my communities. It is my right to expect that equal funding should be provided to
men, women, and those with disabilities in all things, not just sport.
It is my right to advocate for myself and for others when I see a wrongdoing.
It is my right to challenge the system and demand equality.
It really is that simple.
Don’t just see what needs to Change, BE THAT CHANGE!
