ADDENDUM #03 for DNS 1920-0046 Request for Quotation – Cable Wharf North Boardwalk Repairs

Sponsored by: Develop Nova Scotia

Develop Nova Scotia revised the scope of work for the North Boardwalk Repairs project. A revised drawing package and specification has been prepared to reflect the changes. Changes include additional North Boardwalk, pile cap, and bracing repairs. Furthermore, the majority of the canopy will now be removed. Refer to the changes below and the revised drawing package/specifications for more details.

1.0 Clarifications

1.1 Clarification: The laydown area is expected to be in the lot adjacent to Nova Scotia Crystal (to the west), Queen’s Marque (to the south), and the cul-de-sac (to the north). The area will be inside the existing temporary gate to the east side. Dimensions are approximate and will be verified at the time of construction. Co-ordination of laydown space will occur with Queen’s Marque operations. Please see sketch below.

Page 3: Clarifications - Home | Procurement

RFQ DNS-1920-0046 Page 2 of 15

1.2 Clarification: Full-time site security will not be required. However, continued monitoring of site protection measures must occur. Additionally, a site trailer may be limited by laydown area space. With the revised scope of work, the duration of work will likely increase significantly. As such, it is up to the contractor to ensure that there are first-aid, OHS documentation, and project plans/specs in a known location. DNS requires OHS regulations to be followed and the contractor will be responsible for site safety within the work zone(s).

1.3 Clarification: With the electronic submission process, bid security should be included in PDF form.

1.4 Clarification: The pile caps for both the North Boardwalk and Wharf interior are to be priced. The North Boardwalk Replacement pile caps are to be sized to match the existing (275mm X 150mm). The reinforcement pile caps are to be sized to increase capacity (250mm X 250mm).
