The Clarks Sportswear collection combines our rich shoemaking heritage with modern sport technologies. Classic references and influences from our history are fused with our knowledge of biomechanics, advanced materials andthe latest construction methods from sport footwear design. It is innovation applied in subtle and thoughtful ways.
This collection captures that passion for craft and function; that same passion that brought to life revolutionaryproducts like the Desert Boot.
Every shoe tells a story.
CORE PACKComprising of TANNER and TRAXTER, our core leather collection draws on our renowned strength in premium leathers and shoemaking heritage. TANNER is inspired by our legendary desert boot fused with cutting edge sport technology whilst TRAXTER launched for the 40th anniversary of the Desert Trek with the additionof a new serrated (shark teeth) profile for off-road traction. Both lead with black and tan leather for SS13 with our vegetable tan colour way using black as an accent for a classic twist while the black is predominantly oily nubuck with subtle tan accents.Classic yet directional, this collection embraces old and new, from conception to construction with Clarks craftsmanship and innovation stitched into every pair.
CAMO PACKA key material story for SS13, camouflage patterns bring a fashionable military twist to our modern classics TANNER and TAWYER. Available in green and sand camo, our interpretation uses a jacquard fabric instead of standard printed canvas to add depth and premium feel.
COLLABORATIONSSS13 sees two exciting collaborations. For the first timewe have partnered with Hanon of Aberdeen. The resultis the TRAXTER HANON, a reinterpretation of our original TRAXTER which is executed using Ventile®. The untreatedcotton fabric has water repellent properties derived fromthe way it is woven and is normally found in the world’sfinest performance outdoor and military wear. For the second season, we have collaborated with Atmos.The TAWYER ATMOS uses bold colours and leopard printto bring modern Japanese elements to this classic design.
NEW MODELS – THERON and THANOSTwo new iconic sneaker silhouettes, THERON and THANOS, are being introduced to the Sportswear collection for SS13, combining classic design with high performance functionality. THERON NATURE, available in light grey and navy, is a classic 80s runner enriched with premium leathers and technical accents. THANOS DECK, available in dark brown and navy, is a classic sailing chukka. A great seasonal addition, it combines premium leathers and crafted details with performance aspects such as our neoprene fit sleeve.
Designer Prad Indrakumar explains: “Our focus for SS13 has been to preserve Clarks heritage styling while incorporating new, performance technicality. The range is kept tight with every shoe designed as aesthetic composition and functional product. With a focus on fit and the introduction of a new super lightweight single component midsole/outsole unit - the design team fused traditional shoe making techniques with zonal foam padding, premium natural leathers and hand-stitched details.”
