concert halls, including the Konzertsaal MuTh (home of the Vienna Boys’ Choir), the Vienna State Opera and the Musikverein (both the

Brahms Saal and Grosser Saal, site of the famous New Year’s Concert). Join Gery Valtiner, Special Travel International’s Program Director,

Day 1 Mon, October 2CANADA - VIeNNADeparture for Europe.

Day 2 Tue, October 3ARRIVe VIeNNAWe arrive in the afternoon, transfer to the hotel, check in and have time to relax before dinner. (D)

Day 3 Wed, October 4VIeNNAWe begin with a morning City Tour including the Ringstrasse, UNO Centre and such then sit down to a traditional lunch at Café Landtmann next to the Burg Theatre. In the afternoon we’ll enjoy a 2 hour Guided Walking Tour back through the Inner City, past St. Stephens and other landmarks. After time for a brief rest, we have an early dinner at the hotel and then an evening concert. (B,L,D)

CONCeRT:Wiener Symphoniker at MusikvereinsaalGrosser Saal (Haydn - Haydn - Beethoven)

Day 4 Thu, October 5VIeNNAWe take a morning Walking Tour, starting with the Grosser Musikvereinssaal and then visiting the Haus der Musik (dedicated to Music and composers). The afternoon is at leisure to perhaps visit one of the famous museums: The Art or Natural History Museums, Albertina or one of the others in the Museum Quarter. Our evening concert follows dinner at the hotel. (B,D)

CONCeRT:ARTIS QUARTETT at the MusikvereinBrahms Saal

Day 5 Fri, October 6VIeNNAMorning drive and visit to the Vienna Zentral Friedhof, the second largest cemetery in the world, and resting place of many famous musicians. Returning to the Centre, you have time for lunch on your own before we enjoy a brief Walking Tour. Exploring the narrow streets and hidden courtyards of the historic quarter, we’ll end with a visit of the Mozarthaus. Returning to the hotel for a brief rest, we’ll then depart for a remarkable 5:30 concert at the MuTh (Konzertsaal Der Wiener Sängerknaben), followed by a very special dinner with breathtaking views of the city. Day 6 Sat, October 7 VIeNNA – eISeNSTADT – VIeNNAToday’s full day tour includes lunch, as we travel to Eisenstadt where we will visit Esterhazy Palace and the Bergkirche with the Haydn Mausoleum. Then we return to Vienna for some time at leisure and dinner on your own before the Opera. (B,L)

Day 7 Sun, October 8VIeNNAThe morning is free for you to enjoy the city, go to Mass or take an optional side tour to the Spanish Riding School. Early in the afternoon we visit Schoenbrunn Palace, inextricably linked to Empress Maria Theresia, whose 300th birthday is marked this year. Then there’s time to rest before dinner and our concert. Day 8 Mon, October 9VIeNNAWe have a day trip to the celebrated Vienna Woods, with a visit to Heiligenkreuz Abbey and the monks’ choral noon prayer service. After lunch at the Abbey we drive through the Helene Valley to nearby Baden, long a refuge for the Viennese nobility. There we’ll have a lovely Walking Tour of the Biedermeier town centre with an exclusive visit to the Beethovenhaus before returning for an early dinner before this evening’s concert. (B,L,D)

Day 9 Tue, October 10VIeNNA The day is at leisure, with an opportunity to schedule a concert or opera of your choosing. (B)

Day 10 Wed, October 11VIeNNA - CANADAWe transfer to the airport for our flight home.

ACCeSSIbILITyThis program includes some walking through the historic part of Vienna and to the venues, easily accomplished if you are comfortable walking a few kilometers every day at a standard pace.

Travelers with restricted mobility are of course welcome but may be required to take taxis to some of the concert venues and may be unable to join all of the walking adventures.

FACTS yOU SHOULD KNOWReSeRVATIONS AND pAyMeNT:A deposit of $800 per person is required at the time of reservation on this Special Travel International (hereafter called STI) tour. A second payment of $800 per person is due by July 1, 2017. The final payment is due by August 15, 2017. Travel documents will be sent to you approximately 14 days prior to your trip departure, provided full payment has been received.

TOUR pRICeS:All tour prices for land arrangements are based on rates effective at the time of printing and are expected to be in effect at the time of departure. Should these rates change, it may be necessary to surcharge the price of your vacation. Should the tour price increase by more than 10%, the passenger shall have the right to cancel within seven days of notification without penalty.

CANCeLLATION AND ReFUNDS:Notice of cancellation must be made in writing. The effective cancellation date is the date when written notification is received by STI. The deposit of $800 is non-refundable. The following scale of charges will apply when cancellation is received prior to departure:

ReSpONSIbILITy AND LIAbILITy:STI acts only as an agent in securing all services related to the tours described in this brochure, including transportation, sightseeing and accommodation. STI shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, cost, damage, injury, delay or expense arising from the use of any conveyance, accommodation or service or from acts of God, strikes, weather, quarantine, accidents, sickness, government regulations, insufficient documents and any loss/expense resulting from the above contingencies shall be borne by the tour member. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort of the passenger, or for any reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operators.Additional expense, if any, shall be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, and also to decline to accept or retain any passenger as a member of the tour. In such instances, full or equitable amounts will be refunded.

INSURANCe:STI recommends that each tour participant has health, cancellation, interruption, accident and baggage insurance for the duration of his/her travel (in situations where insurance is not included in the tour price).

TRAVeL DOCUMeNTS:It is entirely the passenger’s responsibility to possess whatever documents and visas required by the law of the countries visited on the tour.

AIRLINe ReSpONSIbILITy:Any airliner carrier providing transportation in connection with these tours is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passenger is not on board its planes or conveyances. The passenger contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchase of these tours and/or passenger. Similar responsibility as noted applies to all types of carriers, including car rental companies.
