We know very well that both staff and children are ready for a relaxing half term break. Thank you to all parents for their support during this half term. You will be pleased to know that the children are all making great progress and are very proud of their achievements to date. Letters have already been sent out re parent interviews in November and we look forward to meeting parents on these occasions. This week has seen class 2 visit the portrait gallery at the museum and take part in an art activity led by the museum. This was a great experience for the children and revealed some very promising art work. Class six wrote a letter asking Sunderland council for support in restoring the windmill. Thank you to the parent who emailed their support for this project. We understand that the Sunderland Echo are going to provide a photograph of the children presenting their letter to the mayor. Thank you to Evie’s mum for arranging this for us. All classes in school have created their own pumpkin, following donations from Sains- bury’s. 24th October 2014

Dear parents,

This has been a frantically busy last fortnight in school. We know very well that both staff and children

are ready for a relaxing half term break. Thank you to all parents for their support during this half

term. You will be pleased to know that the children are all making great progress and are very proud of

their achievements to date. Letters have already been sent out re parent interviews in November and we

look forward to meeting parents on these occasions.

This week has seen class 2 visit the portrait gallery at the museum and take part in an art activity led by

the museum. This was a great experience for the children and revealed some very promising art work.

Class six wrote a letter asking Sunderland council for support in restoring the windmill. Thank you to the

parent who emailed their support for this project. We

understand that the Sunderland Echo are going to provide a photograph of the children presenting their

letter to the mayor. Thank you to Evie’s mum for arranging this for us.

All classes in school have created their own pumpkin, following donations from Sains-

bury’s. Sainsbury’s have judged the competition and the winners were class 8. WELL

DONE! Children in class 9 tell me that pumpkin soup is

delicious—as the empty bowls revealed.

The deadline for positive returns for the ‘flu’ nasal spray is the 4th

November. No late returns can be accepted and only children who have a positive re-

turn from their parent can be given the nasal spray. This will take place on 7th No-

vember.

The espresso log on for parents is https://home.espresso.co.uk Pupil username: student2040 Pupil password: fulwell We hope that the weather over half term enables all families to enjoy their

holiday week. School returns on Tuesday 4th November, following an INSET day.

children—enjoying every moment...

We loved choosing the

flavours for our bread.

And of course the taste was

delicious...

Class 6 took their letter to the Civic Centre and visited the Mayor in his parlour. The

children were extremely well behaved and asked lots of questions.
