While healing he began carving caricatures from pieces of firewood using a pocket knife. Soon he began successfully entering competitions. His Texas roots have given him a unique insight into cowboy lifestyle and humor. The class will meet Friday, April 8, 2016, 9:00am to 5:00 pm; April 9, 8:00am to 11:30 am; April 10, 2016, 8:00am to 11:30 am. Tuition is $120.00 and is payable with registration. If the minimum number of 10 students is not reached by that date, the class may have to be cancelled. The subject of Chris’ class at the Wood Arts Festival will be his caricature “bar flys”. Pictures can be seen on our website:rrvwoodcarvers.worpress.com MINI CLASS LARRY LONGTINE: Butternut Crappie Larry Longtine’s project will be an eight-inch long (about a half pounder!) crappie.
