WELCOME Hi all,

We have had a fantastic few weeks learning about the story paper dolls written by Julia Donaldson, and how our actions can make people feel sometimes and learning how to talk about our feelings.

We have also started to send Latisha home (Home learning bear) she likes to do puzzles and exciting things on weekends. She will be making her way round to visit everyone.

We have had a few hot days and its looking good for summer but as a reminder can we please have sun cream and sun hats in bags in case the sunshine makes an appearance.

Over the next few weeks we will be learning about school and what things we might do there. We are also going to be learning about growing and looking after plants and the environment.

Childcare Choices brings together all the government childcare offers in one place for the first time. The new Childcare Choices website makes it easy to find out what’s on offer.

Use the Childcare Calculator at www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator to see what offers are available to support you and your family.

As well as current schemes, Childcare Choices introduces Tax-Free Childcare and 30 hours – two new offers that are coming in 2017.

To find out more about the new and existing offers, and how they can help you, go to the Childcare Choices website today

Big ToddleOn Monday 1st July, Jigsaws and Kirk Fenton Nursery will be taking part in the Barnardo’s big toddle which raises money for children in need throughout the UK.  We will be walking to the park at Sandwath where the children will all receive a sticker for taking part.  We will have snack before returning at 11am.  The theme this year for anyone wishing to dress up is Nature. At Barnardo’s, they believe a child’s future should never be defined by their past. No matter what they have been through, every child deserves to play, learn and live a happy life. With your support, Barnados  makes sure this happens. Remember, lots of little feet can make a big difference! By joining our Big Toddle, you can help give brighter futures to all children.

Nut Allergies Can we ask that you do not put nuts in packed lunches as we have children attending with nut allergies.

New ContractsNew contracts for September 2018 to August 2019 will be sent out in June and July to register your place at Jigsaws Childcare.

A plea for Egg BoxesIf you have any spare egg boxes you can donate, we need them for an activity we are running during half term. Thank you.

Pick up and drop off timesA reminder to parents not drop children off before the time they are due into Jigsaws on a morning and that children are picked up from after school club promptly; no later than 5.15pm or 6pm depending on their finish time. We have a duty of care to your children and cannot meet this if we do not have the correct amount of staff for the children on the premises outside of the booked times.

Staff NewsBecki has started her maternity leave and we look forward to hearing news of the new arrival!

Old Keys PleaseDo you have any old keys that you can donate? Mags is busy creating a sound tree
