Rules1. Open to all members of the public.2. All exhibits in the competitive classes must be the

property of the exhibitor, and where applicable, they must have been grown on land of his/her own occupation, except where otherwise stated in this schedule.

3. Exhibitors must fill in the entry form stating in which classes they intend to exhibit, with the correct entry fee.

4. Staging – A number of vases are available but we encourage exhibitors to bring their own vases to avoid disappointment. No artificial flowers or artificial foliage to be used in exhibits.

5. Exhibit cards will be available at the display marquee on; 3.00pm to 9.00pm on Friday 16th August, 6.00am to 9.00am on Saturday 17th August 2019.

6. Exhibitors may stage their exhibits from 3pm on Friday 16th August until 9am on Saturday 17th August. All exhibits must be staged by 9.30am on Saturday 17th August 2019.

7. Name varieties wherever possible.8. After judging has taken place, no exhibit or part of

an exhibit may be altered or removed except by special permission of the Show Secretary.

9. Exhibitors may lift vases, etc at 4.00pm on Sunday 18th August 2019.

10. Judging will commence at 9.45am on Saturday 17th August 2019.

11. Presentation of trophies will commence 3.30pm on Sunday 18th August 2019.

1. Entrants must be made on the official form and be received by date and person specified.

2. A competitor may enter any number of exhibits in any class, unless stated otherwise.

3. Any prize may be withheld or modified if the exhibits are considered undeserving of the prize offered.

4. The committee reserve the right to refuse entry and, in the event of such refusal, is not compelled to give any reason.

5. The decision of the judges will be final unless an objection beproperly lodged and sustained. Any objection must be delivered in writing to the Show Secretary by 3.00pm on the day of judging. Any objection must be accompanied by a deposit of £5.00, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld, but not otherwise.

6. The Council shall not be held responsible for any accident, damage or loss, however caused, that may occur to the Show or whilst entering or leaving or being carried into or out

of the Show. Each exhibitor shall be responsible for any loss, injury or damage done or occasioned by article or property exhibited on or brought by them to the Show and shall indemnify the Council from and against all actions and claimswhatsoever in respect of any such loss, injury or damage. (The word ‘Council’ relates to Hartlepool Borough Council).

7. Exhibitors are not allowed in the main hall while judging – except in an official capacity.

8. Cash prizes will be paid during the day of the Show onapplication to the Show Secretary. Exhibitor’s prize money cards must be produced when claiming. Any claim for prize money after the show must be made in writing to Stephen McGrother, Show Co-ordinator, Sir William Gray House, Clarence Road, Hartlepool, TS24 8BT, accompanied by the prize money card on Monday 19th August 2019 after which date no prize money will be paid.

9. The responsibility for engraving trophies and the cost incurred lies with the exhibitor and not Hartlepool Borough Council.
