• Mandatory for all students attending the prom• Thursday, June 24th 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. in the Library / Courtyard• Students enter though Social Studies doors• All family members are invited and are encouraged to attend• Opportunity to take group photographs• Light refreshments will be served
Pre-Prom & Prom ProceduresThursday, June 24th 6pm – 12 midnight
6:00pm – 7:00pm: Student/Guest Entrance & Check-in :
• All students must be brought to the high school by a parent or guardian
• Students are not be allowed to arrive by limousine or party bus• Check-in as you enter Social Studies wing doors• Attendance before you enter “Prom-a-Palooza” in the
library/courtyard • No bags or backpacks should be brought in. All belongings and
persons will be subject to search.• Parents are invited to park and enter through the cafeteria
entrance.
Pre-Prom & Prom ProceduresThursday, June 24th 6pm – 12 midnight
• Anyone found to be under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol will be sent to a designated area for evaluation and/or medical attention. Please be advised that the penalty for misbehavior may include suspension and non-attendance at Commencement Exercises.

Ticket pickup & transportation to Garden City Hotel
7:30pm – 12midnight :
Prom at the Garden City Hotel
• No exit until 11:15pm• Students & Parents must make
arrangements for pickup from the Hotel
Prom bids will be for sale :• Tonight after the meeting in the Gym• Wednesday, May 26th
• 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. outside the cafeteria.• Wednesday, June 2nd
• 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. outside the cafeteria.
• $100 per person / $200 per couple– senior dues must be paid
Senior Contract must be completed with guest information. The senior completing the contract and their guest must be eligible to purchase a prom bid.
Senior BreakfastFriday, June 25
• The PTA is graciously sponsoring a breakfast in honor of the Class of 2010
• Student Cafeteria• 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Graduation RehearsalFriday, June 25th
• Students MUST attend the rehearsal in order to participate in the commencement exercises on Saturday, June 26th.
• Breakfast begins at 10:30 a.m.• Seniors must report by 11:30 a.m.
Student Entrance & Check-in : Check-in & attendance as you enter Social Studies wing doors
• 11:30 a.m. sharp: Rehearsal begins in the auditorium.
• Rehearsal will conclude by 1:30 p.m.
At the end of rehearsal, 3 indoor graduation tickets will be distributed to each senior.
Graduation DaySaturday, June 26th
9:00 a.m. – Graduates Arrive at the High School
Student Entrance & Check-in (rain or shine): • Check-in & Attendance as you enter Social Studies
wing doors• Attendance before reporting to the auditorium
Reminders for dress:Gentlemen: white dinner jacket, black tuxedo pants, black
bowtie and appropriate shoes
Ladies: appropriate white dress & shoes
Graduation will begin at 10:00 a.m. rain or shine
Outdoor graduation – Warren King Memorial Field
Indoor graduation – Gymnasium
No noise makers or distracting items will be permitted.
Diploma Distribution
After the ceremony in the high school library
Monday & Tuesday after graduation, pickup at the high school 8a.m.-3 p.m.
Any candidate for graduation who violates the Garden City School District Code of Conduct at Commencement will have his/her diploma held pending a meeting with the Principal and his/her parents.
In addition, a letter from the Principal will be sent to his/her college.
