Class of 2014, it’s time for your close-up! Senior photos must be submitted to the yearbook staff by November 15, 2013. To look your best in the yearbook, please follow the specifications from the publisher. Take this letter with you to your photographer! The yearbook encourages photographers or students to electronically submit high reso- lution (minimum 300 pixels per inch) images on CD (preferred) or, if only one or two images, to our email address, [email protected]. Every emailed photo will be acknowledged. If we do not acknowledge your email, we did not get it! The yearbook company will not accept photos that do not meet their specifications. Please keep in mind that the background of the senior panels is usually black, therefore a black shirt or background may blend into the page. Photos submitted should be at least wallet size. Photos will be square in the yearbook. The head size must be at least half the height of the photo from the chin to the top of the head. Pets, other people, or large recreational items should not be included, particularly because the head size is usually smaller when these items are included and we are striving for a more uniform look on our pages. Full-body shots are not appropriate for a senior portrait. Also, students must be dressed in ac- cordance with school dress standards—no hats, low-cut, strapless or spaghetti-strap tops, etc. The yearbook staff doesn’t want anyone to be left out and they are willing to take pictures for you. You can also have a picture taken for free during school pictures September 12 and October 4--you are not obligated to buy a picture packet. Don’t be left out! All 2014 graduates are encouraged to follow up in January to make sure their senior photos are sub- mitted and placed on the appropriate page. Look for the “Seniors not Pictured” list in the main hallway by January 24. It is important that you follow up on this, as we can’t know if your picture just somehow didn’t reach us unless you tell us. We order as many books as we have reserved by January 24, so please order soon. Very few extra books are ordered, so be certain to reserve yours before the deadline. You can pay at the ASB office. The yearbook is your record of your senior year, a book full of the memories you will make. We hope to see you in our pages! Vicky Hyde, Yearbook Adviser [email protected] (509) 543-5610 Photos below are shown the actual size they will be in the book.
