The morning started off looking like rain but as we drove north we could see the sun trying to shine through. We had 6 cars with 4 of them being older cars. Arrived to a lovely welcome at Rudy and June's house in Karuah. Morning tea with cakes coffee and tea all set out on the table for us to help ourselves. Rudy and June showed us around their house and there were certainly a lot of changes done since we were there last. After some idle chatter we headed off for Tea Gardens for lunch. We all followed Rudy and June to Hawkes Nest where we checked out the beach. Then it was off to the pub for lunch. Meals were lovely and service excellent. Sue brought her aunty Jenny with her for the day and she thanked us all for a lovely day. The award was given to Rudy and June. The next car run is to Norah Head lighthouse.

Broke Village set amongst the many Wineries of the Hunter Valley held their annual fair which was a great success for the

town folk, with plenty of stalls on the day, people everywhere, it seemed as if the whole towns people turned up at some

stage. The weather was very pleasant, members from the Club had a great day checking out the stalls, some had a quick

guided tour of the local Bulga Open Cut Mine which Fair Organisers had arranged, and the photos tell the story. One

purchase was a lovely dwarf Bonsai Azalea. 23 cars, 2 bikes, , and Frank enjoyed a long rest in Neville FORD chair.

Previous owner Ray wrote the letter below wanting it to go to the new owner of the car below.

I bought my Ford Falcon Station Wagon new in November 1977 from Peter Warren, Ford Dealership in Fairfield,

NSW.

It is a 6 cylinder 4.1 T Bar Auto, It was $8,000.00

For the first 10 years I used it for work and pleasure. The last 29 years for pleasure only.

I am selling because we have bought a smaller car and have no further use for the old girl.

I am happy it is going to a good home, and is to be restored.

I will miss the old girl, but one must move on.

Regards

Ray.
