Good Readers Generate and Ask Questions
This strategy involves readers asking themselves
questions throughout the reading of a text. The ability
of readers to ask themselves relevant questions as
they read is especially valuable in helping them to
integrate information, identify main ideas, and
summarize information. Asking the right questions
allows good readers to focus on the most important
information in a text.
Good writers build vocabulary and spelling skills.
Look up one word each day in a dictionary,
encyclopedia, or thesaurus (books or online).
HOMEWORK: Read daily for at least 25 minutes each day AFTER SCHOOL. Complete
at least two book report each week. Write 2 or more complete sentences about your favorite holiday. Practice 2 digits by 2 digits multiplication and 4 digits divided by 1 digit
