CLAYTON STATE UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS FACILITY RENTAL OPPORTUNITIES

The primary facility for Laker Athletics, The Loch offers a seating capacity of 1,700 with more than 300 chair backs and is a tremendous venue for a variety of events.

In 2012 The Loch underwent a facelift. This included a bright, new paint scheme, replacement of the original court with state-of-the-art hardwood, and the installation of LED lights. Perhaps the most noticeable, and certainly the newest addition to the facility, is a completely renovated lobby area. Completed in October of 2018, this includes a permanent concession stand with its own seating, a larger overall space, and an expansive video wall.

In its history, the facility has played host to the 2015 South Regional of The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a $2 million winner-take-all summer affair featuring numerous former NBA players, as well as NCAA Division II and Peach Belt Conference Tournaments.

It has also been the site of several movie shoots and has had both Shaquille O’Neal and Dennis Scott on site during filming by TNT as recently as 2016.

With all of these amenities, we are confident The Loch will not only meet the needs for your event but go above and beyond to exceed them and elevate it.

The Clayton State Tennis Facility offers a six court alignment, newly resurfaced courts, and lighting.

It has played host to several high profile events, including the 2002 Mid-Atlantic NCAA Regional and the 2010 NCAA Southeast Regional.

Additionally, the facility made its big screen debut in 2016. It was the site of several scenes from the major motion picture, The Boss, starring Melissa McCarthy, who is seen on these very same courts during her “posh prison” scenes.

Laker Field is a natural grass surface that is home to both Laker soccer programs. It is a facility that has hosted both NCAA Division II and Peach Belt Conference Tournament action and is suitable for a number of events. Capable of seating 500 with a permanent set of bleachers on the far side of the field, the facility also sports a smaller practice field adjacent to the main field. Additionally, World Cup style benches and goals are installed at the venue. The facility is also equipped with lighting.

Beyond its primary use as an athletic venue, Laker Field has also hosted several movie projects during its history. These have included slight facility adjustments (removal and replacement of banners/wind screens) that make it a viable venue for these projects as well.
