Le 14 octobre 2018 28e dimanche du temps ordinaire (B)
Sagesse 7, 7-11 │ Psaume 89 (90)
(Vie liturgique, no 433, pp. 47 et 49) __________________________________________________

(Vie liturgique, no 433, p. 53)
October 14, 2018 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Wisdom 7.7-11 │ Psalm 90
Hebrews 4.12-13 │ Mark 10.17-30
“What must I do?” In this Sunday’s Gospel
reading, Jesus calls a rich man, and us, to trust more deeply – to sacrifice and be transformed.
It is easy to get caught up in depending upon ourselves, but our relationship with Jesus calls us to a radical trust. Give up our plans, our back-up plans, our
safety nets and our stockpiles. Put Jesus first and let everything else go. Until we lay down our lives, we are still serving only in part.
The rich man could not accept Jesus’ challenge. Do we? For with God, “all things are possible”.

29th Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Isaiah 53.10-11 │ Psalm 33 Hebrews 4.14-16 │ Mark 10.35-45
The risks of a loving relationship
God hears all of our requests. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. Everyone, at one time or another, may have
made steep requests, and while God might not seem to answer when we want him to, he answers when each of us need it. God gives us so much more than what we asked for. He gave the ultimate sacrifice of his only Son.

Seigneur,
Amen.

COMMITMENT SUNDAY
All the different ways
parishioners have chosen to participate in the life of the parish this year
were celebrated on Thanksgiving. The special blessing & missioning prayer
used by Father Gabriel will be offered again
at the three weekend masses.
Loving God,
hear today the prayer
of these children, youth, women and men,
who ask in faith the gift of your grace
so that we succeed
in accomplishing the mission
you have called us to in confidence. May our hearts acknowledge
the expressions of your generosity
toward us so that we ourselves
may witness to the same generosity
and charity for all
who will benefit from our services. Bless, Lord, the work of our hands
and multiply the fruits
obtained from our lives
given out of love for you. We ask this in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
