Optimal Patient Positioning for X-Ray Imaging

Clear Image Devices (CiD) is the imaging technician’s answer to the challenge of optimal patient positioning

for X-ray imaging. We engineer and build products that enable accurate imaging results, as well as

products that protect imaging panels from damage.

CiD’s products are designed for safety and are compatible with most commercial imaging systems.

Additionally, CiD can work collaboratively with you to develop custom devices that address the unique

challenges of your imaging environment.

CiD works closely with hospital and clinical radiology technicians to develop products that increase lab

productivity, prevent expensive equipment damage, improve patient satisfaction

and produce the most accurate X-ray imaging results.

Our professional research and development staff has been developing clinical and research-related

products for over twenty years. Our patient positioning and equipment protection

devices reflect this long-termcommitment to innovative

product development.

2-Step Platform Combination Step and Platform Positioning Device

The 2-Step Platform permitsefficient and accurate weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing X-ray imaging of the feet, ankle, and lower legs.

Designed with safety in mind, the platform provides grab bars to help ensure patient stability.

Compatibility: Models are available for film, CR, and DR systems.

• Platform height: 15.5 in. (39cm)

• 450 lb (204 kg) weight capacity

• Three film or CR cassette locations for versatility in posing

• Easily portable with built-in rollers

• Easy to keep clean, germ-resistant, non-porous polyethylene construction

Options:• 3rd-Step option; platform height: 24 in. (61cm)

• Side rail option for 3-Step Platform

2-Step Platform forC-Arm DR SystemsOptimal Positioning for Safe, Easy Capture of Weightbearing Images with C-Arm DR Systems

The design of the 2-Step Platform for C-arm Radiogra-phy permits patients to be safely and easily positioned over a variety of C-arm digital radiography systems

The platform places the patient in the optimal position for easy capture of the highest quality weight-bearing AP foot images.

Designed with safety in mind, the platform provides grab bars to help ensure patient stability and high-quality locking casters for ease of positioning.

Compatibility: ideally matched to systems made by Swissray, IMIX, and others.

• Dimensions, top platform: 18 in. high, 28 in. wide, 32 in. long (46cm x 71cm x 81cm)

• 500 lb (227 kg) weight capacity

• Four full-locking swivel casters provide easy portability and a safe, stable platform

• Keeps patient’s foot as close to the image plate as possible to ensure high quality images

• Easy to keep clean, germ-resistant, non-porous polyethylene construction

Pedia-Poser Child-friendly Pediatric Positioning Chair

The Pedia-Poser provides fast, gentle, and secure immobilization of infants through 4-year olds for X-ray imaging.

The patient is secured only once: the chair rotates, quickly positioning for different views.

This simple, reliable product is the child-friendly solution for pediatric positioning.

Compatibility: Models are available for film, CR, and DR systems.

• Views: AP, Lateral, Oblique

• C-Spine, Chest, Abdominal, Magnified Airway

• Critical components are X-ray lucent for excellent image contrast

• Easy to keep clean, germ-resistant, non-porous polyethylene construction

CR Cassette Protector No More Broken Cassettes!

The CR Cassette Protector permits efficient and accurate weight-bearing X-rays of feet (AP view) while protecting CR cassettes for fewer worries.

To use, simply place the CR Cassette Protector over a cassette that is positioned on the floor. Non-slip rubber grips keep the protector in place on hard flooring.

Patients can step safely onto the CR Cassette Protector with as much weight as needed to obtain the desired image.

• Unbreakable polycarbonate faceplate

• Faceplate is X-ray lucent for excellent image contrast

• 10 x 12 in. (25 x 30cm) and 14 x 17 in. (36 x 43cm) sizes, with versions for all models of CR imaging systems

• 275 lb (125 kg) and 450 lb (204 kg) weight capacity models

• Easy to keep clean, germ-resistant, non-porous polyethylene, polycarbonate, and stainless steel construction

DR Panel Protector Avoid the $80,000 Oops!

The DR Panel Protector protects your sizeable investment in top-of-the-line portable Digital Radiography equipment, providing efficient and accurate weight-bearing X-rays of feet (AP view).

To use, simply place the DR Panel Protector over a portable DR panel that is positioned on the floor. Non-slip rubber grips keep the protector in place on hard flooring.

Patients can step safely onto the DR Panel Protector with as much weight as needed to obtain the desired image.

• Unbreakable polycarbonate faceplate is designed to support patients weighing up to 500 lb (227kg).

• Faceplate is X-ray lucent for excellent image contrast

• For use with Canon, Siemens, GE, Philips, Shimadzu, Quantum, and Trixell digital systems

• Easy to keep clean, germ-resistant, non-porous polyethylene, polycarbonate, and stainless steel construction

Ultra-lightweight Carbon Fiber DR Panel Protector Panel Protector for Use with Bedridden Patients

You just purchased a top-of-the-line portable Digital Radiography system and now you need to take a hip, pelvis or chest X-ray of a patient lying in bed.

Question: Can your rigid DR panel take the stress when placed between large patient and a flexible mattress?

The DR Panel Protector for bedridden patients provides a safe, easy way to take pelvic, hip, and chest images of the bedridden patient. To use, simply place the unit under the patient and then slide in the DR panel and grid into the slot.

• Ultra-lightweight, ultra-strong carbon fiber design supports patients weighing up to 500 lbs (227 kg).

• X-ray lucent carbon fiber construction allows X-rays to pass through the DR Panel Protector with no significant absorption or scattering.

• For use with Canon, GE Healthcare, Philips, Quantum, Siemens, Shimadzu, Toshiba, and Trixell digital radiography systems.

• Easy to keep clean, the DR Panel Protector is made from germ-resistant non-porous carbon fiber and resin.

Custom Solutions

Clear Image Devices welcomes the opportunity to work with hospitals and clinics to create unique new devices that are suited to your individual practice needs.

Before developing any custom solution, we provide a free initial consultation during which we discuss your project criteria and ensure that the scope is within the expertise of CiD.

During development, our project engineers work with you to create a device specification identifying the required features, methods of use, and materials to be used in fabrication. The amount of documentation and formality will vary depending on the complexity of the project.

We then build 2–3 prototypes, receiving feedback from the use of each to help with the next version until we reach a practice-ready device. For designs which may result in CiD-developed commercial products, CiD may waive part or all of the development fees.
