Celebrating its fifh year May 12-18, ClearwaterBeach Restaurant Week offers oodies thechance to east upon an assortment o prix fixemenus at some o the areas most mouthwatering

restaurants rom $15-$35. Diners will thenhave the opportunity to vote on the quality oeach restaurant as the eateries duke it out in avariety o categories, including Best Appetizer,Best Entre and Best Dessert. Each diners votewill be entered into a drawing to win one oseveral great prizes, including a weekend stayon the beach. Winners rom last years eventinclude Frenchys Rockaway Grill or best overallexperience, best bartender (Kim Gonzales) andbest appetizer; Palm Pavil ion Beachside Grill &

Bar or best presentation experience; Pizza Bizzaror best pizza on the beach; Rustys Bistro cheJohn Harris or most enthusiastic che; CrabbysBeachwalk Bar & Gril l or best server (AmandaDeArmas); Caretta on the Gul or best booth atbeach walk; Clearwater Wine Bar & Bistro orbest dessert; and Cooters Restaurant & Bar orbest entre.

Before dinner, Clearwater Beach RestaurantWeek will commence with a fabulous tastingevent/kick-off party on May 9 from 5:30 to 8:30p.m. Te festive affair, which will take place onthe Beach Walk at Clearwater Beach, just southof Pier 60, allows participating restaurants thechance to showcase its signature cuisines andspecialties to the thousands of beach guestsand local patrons in attendance. About 4,000people attended the kick-off party in 2013. Tisyears event wil l feature live entertainment bymusical duo Espree deKor as well as raffles, a

wine village and a spectacular fireworks displayat 9 p.m. Admission costs $25 per person whichincludes tastings, entertainment and access tothe wine village.

Clearwater Beach Restaurant Week offers someo the best dining experiences; the event alsohelps local nonprofit organizations. Since itsinauguration, the week-long culinary affair hasraised thousands o dollars or the ClearwaterBeach Chamber o Commerce and the ClearwaterMarine Aquarium. Tis year the beneficiary willbe the Ryan Wells Foundation, which supportsthe high school culinary programs o PinellasCounty.
