CLIMATE CERTIFICATE 2019 CEMAsys’ Climate Certificate™ is hereby issued to Vestre Group which has purchased carbon credits for voluntary offsets of own greenhouse gas emissions in 2018 from Vestre AS and Vestre AB, equivalent to a total amount of 2 227 tonnes CO2e. The emissions are distributed by 48 tCO2e from Vestre AS and 2 179 tCO2e from Vestre AB. Through the purchase of carbon credits, Vestre supports the April Salumei project VCS- REDD+ ID.NR 1122. This project guarantees protection of 600 000 ha of rainforest in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The project was approved by VCS and Climate Community & Biodiversity Alliance 2011 and UNFCCC framework (http://www.un-redd.org/). In addition to prevent rainforest from commercial exploitation and harvesting, the project contributes to creation of better living conditions for the native communities living in this vast area in terms of better health, education, infrastructure, access to renewable energy sources and development of new workplaces.
