The Swedish band, Abba even partnered with a footwear brand to create their own line of clog sandals for women . At its zenith, production breached the million mark per year. Despite being the most recognized footwear of the 70’s, clogs went out of style until they were revived by the fashion house Viktor and Rolf in their Autumn Winter ’07 collection. After this, Karl Lagerfeld and a number of other fashion designers followed their footsteps and clogs became sought-after once again. Why Have Clog Sandals for Women Made a Comeback? The answer to this is two-fold- firstly, it is their revival by fashion designers. Secondly, it is the simplicity of design, which allows wearers to slip them on anytime they feel like. This does not in any way make them less durable or compromise the levels of comfort which they provide. This is because of the materials which are used in their making. These materials include wood, which is used for the base, rubber for both the base and the uppers and leather for the uppers.
