In 1985, Les Misérables began its journey into musical theater history. The show opened in London onOctober 8, 1985, and was an instant hit with audiences. The entire run was sold out and moved to the West
End two months later. It is currently the longest running show in West End history. In 1986, Les Misérablescrossed the pond, premiering at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, prior to its New York debut. Itopened on Broadway on March 12, 1987, and went on to win 8 Tony® Awards.
Now, for the first time, Pittsburgh CLO audiences will be treated to a locally-stagedproduction featuring musical theater greats reprising their Broadway roles.
CLO favorite ROBERT CUCCIOLI stars as Javert, the role that marked his Broadwaydebut. Mr. Cuccioli received a Tony®nomination for his performance in the title role ofJekyll and Hyde and is best known to Pittsburgh audiences as the leading man in fiverecent CLO productions. He’s joined by FRED INKLEY as Jean Valjean. Mr. Inkley is
making his CLO debut, but is no stranger to the role. Hestarred as Jean Valjean in the Broadway and National Touring productions of Les Misérables. JACQUELYN PIRO DONOVAN returns to the CLO Stage to reprise herBroadway performance as Fantine. She also appeared onBroadway in Miss Saigon and has performed in fivePittsburgh CLO productions.

Go flying without ever leaving the ground in this exciting musical for young audiences!It’s high-flying fun when Pittsburgh CLO’s Gallery of Heroes takes you on a journey through the clouds in Pioneers of Flight. Students will experience the thrill of flight as aviation pioneers Wilbur and Orville Wright leave the ground for the very first time; the excitement as Charles Lindbergh attempts to be the first to cross the Atlantic Ocean non-stop; and even be part of the mystery as aviation superstar Amelia Earhart disappearswhen she attempts to circle the world. See the obstacles and challenges these incredible pilots overcame as theytake you with them above the clouds and into your hearts. All schools booking Pioneers of Flight will receive a valuable Teacher’s Guide and student handouts to help integrate the show into each grade’s classroom activities.
Pittsburgh CLO Academy’s summer camps are your child’s ticket to an excitingsummer of fun! Working with a director, music director and choreographer,
