1 2021 VIVO IPL Clothing & Equipment Regulations CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS A) INTRODUCTION The objectives which BCCI seeks to achieve through these Clothing and Equipment Regulations (“Regulations”) are: A. to ensure a consistent approach and to treat all franchises equally; B. to ensure professional and appropriate standards of appearance of players and support staff; C. to protect the sponsorship rights of the league central sponsors and of franchises (including from ambush marketing); D. to allow an opportunity for players to obtain some revenue from controlled bat advertising; and E. to prohibit advertising connected with betting and/or gaming. All franchises, players and the respective manufacturers of Cricket Clothing and Cricket Equipment used in the league must adhere to these Regulations, which apply to all Matches (including all friendly matches played by the franchises). Any clothing or equipment that does not comply with these Regulations is strictly prohibited. For the avoidance of doubt, a franchise may find itself in breach of these Regulations in circumstances where it issues equipment or clothing to a player or support staff that does not comply with the terms of these Regulations. Appendix 2 sets out the disciplinary process for breaches of these Regulations. In addition, where any Match Official becomes aware of any clothing or equipment that does not comply with these Regulations, he shall be authorised to prevent the offending person from taking the field of play (or to order him from the field of play, if appropriate) until the non-compliant clothing or equipment is removed or appropriately covered up. There shall be no requirement for the Match Official to provide a warning before a breach of these Regulations is established. B) DEFINITIONS Assistant General Manager (AGM) Operations, BCCI - means the person appointed by BCCI from time to time as the AGM Operations, BCCI (or his/her designee). BCCI approved – in relation to any Logo, means approved by BCCI in accordance with the procedure set out below, as qualifying as a Manufacturer’s Logo, a Commercial Logo, a Team Logo or a Player’s Bat Logo (as the case may be) and as not being a Betting Logo, and as being otherwise in accordance with these Regulations. BCCI Chief Executive Officer – means the person appointed by BCCI from time to time as the BCCI Chief Executive Officer (or his/her designee).

A) INTRODUCTION

For the avoidance of doubt, a franchisemay find itself inbreachof theseRegulations incircumstanceswhere it issuesequipmentorclothing toaplayerorsupportstaffthatdoesnotcomplywiththetermsoftheseRegulations.

Appendix2 setsout thedisciplinaryprocess forbreachesof theseRegulations. Inaddition,whereanyMatchOfficialbecomesawareofanyclothingorequipment thatdoesnot complywith theseRegulations,heshallbeauthorisedtopreventtheoffendingpersonfromtakingthefieldofplay(ortoorderhimfromthefieldofplay,ifappropriate)untilthenon-compliantclothingorequipmentisremovedorappropriatelycoveredup.

ThereshallbenorequirementfortheMatchOfficialtoprovideawarningbeforeabreachoftheseRegulationsisestablished.

B) DEFINITIONS

AssistantGeneralManager (AGM)Operations, BCCI -means the person appointed by BCCI fromtimetotimeastheAGMOperations,BCCI(orhis/herdesignee).

BCCIapproved–inrelationtoanyLogo,meansapprovedbyBCCIinaccordancewiththeproceduresetoutbelow,asqualifyingasaManufacturer’sLogo,aCommercialLogo,aTeamLogooraPlayer’sBatLogo(asthecasemaybe)andasnotbeingaBettingLogo,andasbeingotherwiseinaccordancewiththeseRegulations.

BCCIChiefExecutiveOfficer–meansthepersonappointedbyBCCIfromtimetotimeastheBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficer(orhis/herdesignee).

BCCI Honorary Secretary – means the person elected by BCCI from time to time as the BCCIHonorarySecretary.

BettingLogo–aLogothatiseitherperceived,orlikelytobeperceived,byspectatorsandviewers,asbeingassociatedorconnectedinsomewaywithbetting,gamingorgamblingofanykind.

CommercialLogo–anyBCCIapprovedLogootherthanaTeamLogo,Manufacturer’sLogoandtheIPLTournamentLogo.

Cricket Clothing – shirts, t-shirts, skins, trousers, sweaters, caps, hats, helmets, wristbands,headbands,sunglassesorotherheadwear.

Cricket Equipment – bats, pads, boots, shoes, gloves (batting orwicket-keeping), thigh pads, armguardsandothervisibleprotectiveequipment.

ICC–meanstheInternationalCricketCouncil.

Logo –means any form of identification or branding including (without limitation) any corporatename, business name, internet domain name, title, flag, emblem, crest, mascot or trademark(whether registered or not and including any symbol, device or colour(s) which functions or isintendedtofunctionasatrademark).

Manufacturer – in relation to any item of Cricket Clothing or Cricket Equipment, “Manufacturer”shallmeananyentitycarryingonthebusinessofboth:

a. manufacturing or procuring the manufacture of the Cricket Equipment or the CricketClothingofthetypeinquestion;and

b. supplying it from readily available stock for sale throughout outlets of several kinds tomembersofthepublicinacountrywhichisamemberoftheICC,withtheaidofpublishedprice listsandcatalogues,andwithprofitdirectly fromthesaleofsuchCricketClothingorCricketEquipmentasitsmainaim.

An entity not otherwisewithin this definition shall not qualify as aManufacturer by reason of itbeingassociatedinbusinesswith,oracompanyinthesamegroupofcompaniesasaManufacturer.

No entity shall qualify as aManufacturer of any itemof Cricket Clothingor Cricket Equipment byvirtueof its involvement inthemanufactureofCricketClothingorCricketEquipmentofanyothertype.Inparticular,(butwithoutprejudicetothegeneralityoftheforegoing),noentityshallqualifyasaManufacturerofbatsbyreasonof itsmanufactureofanyother itemofCricketEquipmentorCricketClothing.

AnentitywhichasofOctober2001qualifiedasa“Manufacturer”undertheICCregulationsatthetime but which would not otherwise qualify as a Manufacturer hereunder shall be deemed tocontinuetoqualifyasaManufacturerprovidedtheLogoofanysuchentityshallnottherebyqualifyasaManufacturer’sLogoifitisaBettingLogo.

Manufacturer’s Identification–aBCCIapproved identificationof theManufacturerof the itemofCricketEquipmentorCricketClothinginquestionexcluding,however:

A. any Logowhich (notwithstanding some connectionwith aManufacturer) is also (either atthetimeofitsadoptionorsubsequently)aLogoof,confusinglysimilartoorwhichsuggestsaconnectionwithanyentitywhichisnotaManufacturer;and

B. anyBettingLogo,

provided,however,thatBCCImay(initssolediscretion)approveasaManufacturer’sIdentification,aLogoofanentitywhich,althoughnotalreadyaManufacturer, isneverthelessamanufacturerofsportsclothingand/orsportsequipmentotherthanCricketClothingandCricketEquipment.

For the purpose of these Regulations, all Manufacturers’ Identification shall fall into one of thefollowingfourcategories:

• Design Feature –means any design feature of aManufacturerwhich is distinctive to thatManufacturerand isused for thepurposesofbrand identificationand/orcosmeticappealbutwhichdoesnotcontainanyManufacturer’sLogo.PleasenotethataDesignFeaturemaynotbedisplayedonTeamClothing.

• Manufacturer’sLogo–meansaBCCIapprovedLogoofaManufacturerbutshallnotincludeanyDesignFeature.

• Official Product – means the label which identifies an item as an official product of theManufacturer.

• Quality Feature –means the label of theManufacturerwhich promotes a quality featureusedbytheManufacturer.

MarketingManager,BCCI-meansthepersonappointedbyBCCIfromtimetotimeastheMarketingManager,BCCI(orhis/herdesignee).

Match–anymatchintheIPLandanyfriendlymatchfeaturinganIPLteamorasdefinedbytheBCCIfromtimetotime.

Personal Message – means any message conveyed by a player in the manner contemplated byclauseC.6below.

Playing Clothing –means the clothing provided by the franchise and worn by players during IPLMatches–beingPlayingShirt,PlayingSweater,PlayingTrousersandPlayingHeadwear.

Player’s Bat Logo – means a BCCI approved Logo of a sponsor of a player to be carried on theplayer’sbat;providedthatsuchLogoshallnotbeeither:

A. of,orconfusinglysimilarto,orlikelytobeperceivedassuggestingaconnectionwith:

I. an entity which operates in a product category of any one of the league centralsponsorsoranyoftheplayer’sFranchisePrincipalSponsors,or

II. aManufacturer,otherthantheManufacturerofthebatthatitistobecarriedon;

B. aBettingLogo,or

C. otherwiseinappropriateasdeterminedbyBCCIinitssolediscretion.

BCCIshallhavethefinalsayindeterminingwhetheranysuchconflictorcircumstancesexistandnoplayermay pursue any action against BCCI or against his franchise should he be precluded fromdisplayingaPlayer’sBatLogobyreasonofthesame.

Practice Clothing – means clothing worn by the players for practice sessions (e.g. tracksuits,sweatshirts,t-shirts,etc.).

ReplicaClothing–meansacopyofthePlayingClothingwornbytheplayersduringMatches,whichisproducedforretailsaleorothercommercialorpromotionalpurposes.

TeamClothing–meansthePlayingClothing(PlayingShirt,PlayingSweater,PlayingHeadwearandPlayingTrousers)alongwithPracticeClothingandbibs.

TeamLogo–aBCCIapprovedLogoofafranchise.

IPLTournamentLogo–theleagueLogowhichincorporatestheleaguemarksandthenameand/orLogoofthetitlesponsor.

C)GENERAL

C.1Eachfranchise isentitledtodeterminethedesignfor itsTeamClothing,subjecttocompliancewith these Regulations and approval by BCCI. Franchises shouldminimise the use of the colourswhiteorcreaminitsPlayingClothingandEquipment–soastoprovideacontrasttothecolourofthecricketball.

C.2 The colours, Logos and design of the Playing Shirts, Playing Sweaters, Playing Headwear andPlayingTrousers shallbeuniformtoallmembersof the team.Anexception to this is thatPlayingShirtsleevesmaybecuttoanylength,aslongasbothsleevesareevenlytrimmedandtheedgesaresewnandhemmed.

C.3EachfranchisewillbepermittedtouseamaximumofthreedifferentdesignsofPlayingClothingduringeachseason.EachdesignneedstobeapprovedbytheBCCI.TheLogosoneachsuchdesignmust be identical (design, position and size). The only variation is applicable in the case of theCommercialLogos,thedetailsofwhicharementionedinsectionD.4ofthisdocument.Playerjerseynumbersshouldalsoremainthesame.However,subjecttoBCCIapproval,aplayermaychangethenumberonthejersey.

C.4DuringeachMatch,allplayersofeach teammustwearPlayingClothingwhilston the fieldofplay. AllmembersoftheplayingsquadandsupportstaffshouldwearPlayingClothingorPracticeClothingwithinthestadiumsonmatchdays.

C.5Playersandsupportstaffattendingpost-matchpresentationceremonies,pressconferencesandtelevision interviews conducted before, during or after theMatchmust be in Playing Clothing orPracticeClothing(excludingvestsandshorts)includingshoes.PlayersattendingthetossmustbeinPlayingClothing.

C.6Playersshallnotbepermittedtowear,displayorotherwiseconveyPersonalMessagesthrougharm bands or other markings on the clothing or equipment, unless approved in advance by theplayer’sfranchiseandtheBCCI.Approvalshallnotbegrantedformessageswhichrelatetopolitical,

religiousorracialactivitiesorcauses.BCCIshallhavethefinalsayindeterminingwhetheranysuchPersonalMessageisapproved.

C.7 Visible tattoos (permanent or temporary) which incorporate any Commercial Logo orManufacturer’sIdentificationshallnotbepermitted.

C.8 Player Identification and Logos must be sewn on, fixed by heat transfer or sublimated ontoCricketClothingandCricketEquipmentasappropriate.Theymaynotbeaffixedbyvelcroorothertemporarymethods. Incaseswhere it isnotpossible toexactly reproduce theLogos toauniformsize

(e.g., sublimation), theManufacturermust take account of the level of variance so that all LogoscomewithinthemaximumsizerestrictionssetoutintheseRegulations.

C.9ItshallbeprohibitedundertheseRegulationsforanyindividualtowearanyclothingoruseanyequipment that has been changed, altered or transformed (whether to comply with theseRegulations or otherwise) in any way that, in the opinion of anyMatch Official, undermines theprofessionalstandardsthatarerequiredofalleliteplayers.Forexample,andwithout limitation, itshall be prohibited to cover up or alter the appearance of clothing and equipment with stickingplasterormarkerpensand/ortowearbattingpadspaintedwithacolouredpaintthathasfadedorisflakingoff.

C.10ChampionsEmblem

The champions emblem may only be worn by previous champions. The number of championsemblemsdisplayedshallsignifythenumberoftimestheteamhaswontheIPL(i.e.ifteamhaswontheIPLtwice,itshalldisplaythechampionsemblemtwice).TheemblemistobeplacedinpositionN(abovepositionC),asindicatedinDiagramC,sectionF.

Please note that the franchises are permitted to showcase the champions emblem in any one oftheirteamcoloursasdefinedintheirrespectivebrandguidelines.

ThechampionsemblemfilewillbeprovidedtothefranchisesbyBCCIin.EPSformat.Pleaserefertothe IPLBrandGuidelines furtherdetails regardingusageof thechampionsemblemon thePlayingClothing.

C.11ReplicaClothingmustnotdisplayanyLogosthatdiffertothoseonthePlayingClothing.Itcandisplay either all or some of the Logos as they are, in terms of design, size and location, on thePlayingClothing.

C.12ClothingandEquipmentApproval

ThedesignsofeachitemofTeamClothingalongwithbattingandwicketkeepingpadsmustbesentto BCCI for approval no later than 1March 2021. The designs can be digital or printed andmustshowexactdimensionsofeachLogoontheclothing.

Anydelaytothisdeadlinewillresultinafinethatwillbetakenfromcentralrevenuesasbelow:

• 1–7daysdelay:INR10Lakhs

• 8–14daysdelay:INR15Lakhs

• 15–21daysdelay:INR25Lakhs

AsampleofeachpieceoffinalisedTeamClothingalongwithbattingandwicketkeepingpadsmustbesenttoBCCIforapprovalnolaterthan15March2021.Anydelaytothisdeadlinewillresultinafinethatwillbetakenfromcentralrevenueasbelow:

• 1–7daysdelay:INR10Lakhs

• 8–14daysdelay:INR15Lakhs

• 15–21daysdelay:INR25Lakhs

In the event that commercial arrangements are still being finalized and therefore that not allCommercial Logosareknown, the respectivepositionsshouldbemarkedwith themaximumLogosizeforapplicableopenposition.

Onceapprovedno itemofTeamClothingmaybechanged inanyrespect,save for theadditionofany Commercial Logoswhichwere open at the time of the approval (as long as these Logos aresubsequentlyapprovedbyBCCIandfitwithinthemaximumprescribedareas).

Eachfranchisemustsupplyanyitemofanyspecificplayer’sTeamClothing(whethertheplayerisintheplayingXIornot),ifsorequestedbytheBCCI

sponsor servicing team before or after anyMatch – so that the clothingmay be checked for fullcompliancewiththeseRegulations.BCCIhastherighttoinsistthatanyareaswhichdonotcomplywiththeseRegulationsbecoveredduringMatchesuntiltheirregularitiesareresolved.

Notwithstanding any approval granted by BCCI in respect of any Team Clothing, no liability shallaccrue to the BCCI towards any infringement claims or ownership disputes concerning the use ofLogosbyanyteamanditistheobligationandresponsibilityofeachteamtoensurethattheuseofanyLogoinanyTeamClothingisincompliancewithlaw.

If they are in any doubt whether other items of clothing or equipment comply with theseRegulations,franchises,playersandManufacturersmaysubmitsuchother itemsforBCCIapprovalinadvanceofusingsuchitemsinMatches.BCCIreservestherighttocheckanysuchitemsbefore,duringorafterMatches.

D)LOGOS

D.1VIVOIPLTournamentLogo

EachfranchisemustdisplaytheVIVOIPLTournamentLogoontheleadingarmofitsPlayingShirtsand Playing Sweaters. Pleasemake reference to the VIVO IPL Brand Guidelines and the VIVO IPLTournamentLogoUsageonPlayingShirtforfurtherdetails.

D.2TeamLogo

EachfranchisemustdisplayitsTeamLogoontheupperleftfrontofthePlayingShirtandthePlayingSweatersandonthefrontofthePlayingHeadwear.

Inadditiontotheabove,teamswillbepermittedtohaveeithertheirteamname,teamlogo,teaminitials,teamcampaignhashtagortheteams’officialwebsiteaddressappearonceeitherunderthebackofthePlayingShirtcollar(abovetheUpperLogoonbackofshirt)oralongthecentrebackofcollarorononeorotherofthecollarflaps.TheplacementmustbeconsistentonallPlayingShirts.

Theareaofanysuchteambrandingmustnotexceed12sqcm(1.86sqinches).However,shouldafranchisechoosethecollarflap,theplacementmaybedeterminedbythebatsmen'sleadingarm.

Design elements of the teams’ logo and/or team namemay also be incorporated in the PlayingShirts,PlayingSweatersandPlayingTrouser.

TheTeamLogoornameoftheteamshouldnotcontainanyadvertisingandmustnotinterferewithanyelementsoftheplayeridentificationonthePlayingClothing.

D.3Manufacturer’sIdentification

AManufacturer’s Logomay be placed in one of the approved positions on the Playing Shirt andPlayingSweater(positionsA,B,D,E,FandH),PlayingTrousers(positionsLandM)andthePlayingHeadwear (positions I and J). Manufacturer’s Identification may also be placed on CricketEquipmentandotheritemsofCricketClothing.

Inaddition,oneOfficialProductandoneQualityFeaturemaybeplacedoneachofthePlayingShirt,PlayingSweaterandPlayingTrousers–ineachcaseontheouterseamsoftheclothing.

The Official Product and the Quality Feature cannot exceed 3.22cm² (0.5 square inches) in size.Theselabelsshouldnotbeconstruedasanadditionalbrandingopportunity.PleaserefertoDiagramC(positionsOandP)andDiagramD(positionQandR) intheseRegulationsforwheretheOfficialProduct and the Quality Feature may be displayed on the Playing Shirt and Playing Trouserrespectively.

OnlyoneManufacturermaybeidentifiedoneacharticleofCricketClothing.

D.4CommercialLogos

Commercial Logos may be placed in any of the approved positions on the Playing Shirt, PlayingSweater,PlayingTrousersandthePlayingHeadwear.

Apartfromtheexceptionsetoutinthefollowingparagraph,theposition,brandandvisualidentityof each Commercial Logo on the Playing Clothingmust remain the same throughout the season,unlessapprovedinadvancebytheBCCI,atitssolediscretion.

FranchisePrincipalSponsors,whoseLogo isdisplayedonpositionsAand/orHofthePlayingShirt,maydisplaytheLogosoftwodifferentbrandsonthePlayingShirt–onebrandonthePlayingShirtthat iswornbyplayers forhomeMatches, the secondbrandon thePlaying Shirt that iswornbyplayersforawayMatches. Thetwobrandsmustbeinthesamebusinesscategoryandbepartofthesamegroupcompany.ForanyplayoffMatchesinwhichthefranchiseteamplays,thefranchisemaydisplayalltheLogosasvisibleonthePlayingShirtswornbytheplayerseitherforhomeorforaway matches. There cannot be a mix of Logos from both Playing Shirts. The choice must becommunicatedtotheBCCIbythe15March2021.

AfranchisemaydisplayaCommercialLogoonits

PlayingClothingwhichmayconflictwithanysponsororsupplieroftheotherteam.

Franchisesshallabidebyanylawsorlocalregulationswhichrestrictstheadvertisingofanyproduct.No compensation shall be payable should a team or player be precluded from displaying any

CommercialLogosonCricketClothingorCricketEquipmentorelsewhereandavisiting teamshallnotpursueanyactionagainsttheBCCI,hostfranchiseorstateassociation.

The franchise shall decidewhich Logosareplacedon theTeamClothingand these Logos shall becommontoandwornbyeachmemberoftheconcernedteam.NoindividualCommercialLogosshallbe worn by any player or support staff, save for the carrying of a Player’s Bat Logo on bats, asprovidedherein.

D.5LogoSpacing

Thereshouldbeaminimumof20mmofclearspacebetweenanytwoLogosorelementsofplayeridentificationonanyitemsofCricketClothingorCricketEquipment.

D.6LogoSize

A Logo’s size shall be considered to be the area covered by one rectangle or two adjoiningrectangles,where theaxesofeachrectanglearehorizontalandvertical, ineachcase thesmallestareathatcontainsallelementsoftheLogo.Thetworectanglesmustbestackedinsuchawaythattheyareneitherseparatednoroverlapping.BCCIhasthefinalrightofapprovalonanyLogosizing.

Asa last resort immediatelybeforeorduringaMatch, ifanyLogo is foundbyBCCI toexceed themaximumsizessetoutintheseRegulations,BCCIreservestherighttohavetheoffendingLogoareatapedup,sothattheLogocomplieswiththeRegulations.

DiagramA,onthispageshowstwoexamplesofthemeasurementofaLogo.

E)PLAYERIDENTIFICATION

PlayerIdentificationistheplayer’snameandnumberasdisplayedonhisCricketClothing.

E.1PlayingShirtandSweaters

Aplayer’snameandnumbermustcorrectlyreflecttheidentityoftheplayerandmustbepositionedonthePlayingShirtsandPlayingSweatersasindicatedinDiagramB.

The player's name and numbermust be entirely visiblewhen the Playing Shirt is tucked into thePlayingTrousers.Theremustbeamplespacebetweeneach letterandbetweenthenameandthenumbersothatbothnameandnumberareclearly legible. Thenamemustbepositionedsoastonotcrossoveranyseamsontheshirt.

Letters andnumberswill beprovided to franchises byBCCI as .EPS files in a variety of colours asshownin“lettersandnumbers”inAppendixIoftheseRegulations.EachnumbershouldbeHinduArabicandbebetween17cmto28cminheight.EachlettershouldbefromtheEnglishalphabetandbeatleast5cminheight.IfthedesignofthePlayingShirtissuchthatthenameornumberneedstoberesizedinordertocomplywiththeseRegulations,thefranchisecanseekBCCIapprovaltoreducethesizeofeitherthelettersorthenumberorboth.Thesemayonlyberesizedinscale(i.e.producedinthesizesgivenbuttheirproportionsshouldnotbealtered).

Acustomcutofthefont“alineaincise”isusedforthelettersinaplayer’sname.Acustomcutofthefont“franklingothic”isusedforthenumbers.The

“batsman icon”,which is thepartof theVIVO IPLTournamentLogo featuringabatsman,mustbeincludedinthebottomsectionofeachofthenumbers.

Aplayer’sPlayingShirtnumbermaybeanynumberfrom“1”to“999”.Eachplayer’snumbershallbeuniquewithinthefranchiseplayingsquad.SubjecttoapprovalofBCCI,afranchisemayelectoneplayerinitsplayingsquadtohavenonumberonhisPlayingShirt.

NamesmustbepositionedbelowthenumberonthebackofthePlayingShirt.

The names and numbers must not contain any advertising elements or brand names.With BCCIapproval,nicknamesmaybeusedinplaceoffamilynames.

ARTICLE1–REPORTINGANALLEGEDOFFENCE

1.1 Any one of the following individuals can report an alleged offence under the Regulations bylodgingareportinthemannerdescribedinArticle1.2below(a‘Report’):

1.1.1.anyUmpireofficiatinginaMatch;

1.1.2anyMatchRefereeofficiatinginaMatch;or

1.1.3AGM,BCCIOperations

1.2A Reportmustbe lodgedbywayofane-mail to the IPLChiefOperationsOfficer.AllReportsmust(a)clearlyidentifythepersonlodgingtheReport;(b)identifytherelevantMatchinwhichthebreachwasallegedtohavebeencommitted;and(c)identifythefranchiseortheindividual,whetherthatbeaplayerorsupportstaff,whoisallegedtohavecommittedtheoffence.

1.3 All Reports must be lodged with the IPL Chief Operations Officer within 24 hours of theconclusion of the relevant Match unless unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances render thisimpractical.

ARTICLE2–NOTIFICATIONPROCEDURE

2.1Where the IPLChiefOperationsOfficer receives aReport, hewill promptly conduct a reviewwithin24hoursofreceipttodeterminewhethertheplayer,supportstafforfranchisenamedintheReporthasacasetoanswer.

2.2 If the initial review of the Report reveals that there is no case to answer, then the IPL ChiefOperationsOfficershallnotifythepersonwhofiledtheReportofthatfact,andthemattershallnotproceedanyfurther.

2.3 If the initial review of the Report reveals that there is a case to answer, then the AGMOperations,BCCIshallwithinthenext24hoursprovideacopyoftheReport,togetherwithcopiesofthephotographic/videosnapshotevidencesupportingtheReportandtheNoticeofChargeformtothefollowingindividualsincludingtheproposedsanctiontobeimposedontheplayer,supportstafforfranchise(asappropriate):

2.3.1theplayerorsupportstaffnamedintheReport(whererelevant);

2.3.2 the Team Manager of the relevant player or support staff named in the Report (whererelevant);

2.5Wheretheplayer,supportstafforfranchiseeitherdisputesthesanctionproposedunderArticle2.4.2, or denies the offence charged under Article 2.4.3, his/its response to theNotice of Chargemustbe supportedby awritten statement, in English, explainingwhy theplayer, support staff orfranchisedoesnotaccepttheproposedsanctionoradmittheoffence(asappropriate).He/Itshouldinclude with this written statement, any documentary evidence that he/it wishes to rely on insupportofhis/itsargument.

ARTICLE3–THEDISCIPLINARYPROCEDURE

3.1Where amatter proceeds to adjudication under Article 2.4.2 or 2.4.3, then the case shall bereferredtotheBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficerwhoshalldecidethemattersolelyonthebasisof theNotice of Charge and any written statement filed by the player, support staff or franchise (asappropriate) inaccordancewithArticle2.5.TheBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficershallnotholdanoralhearing. However, should the BCCI Chief Executive Officer consider that further information isnecessarytoallowhimtomakehisdecision,heshallbeentitledtoobtainsuchfurtherinformationbeforemakinghisdecision,andwhererequested,therelevantplayer,supportstafforfranchise(asappropriate) shall assist him in this regard. In considering the matter, the BCCI Chief ExecutiveOfficershallbeentitledtoconsultwiththeBCCIlegaldepartment.

3.2 Save in exceptional circumstances, the BCCI Chief Executive Officer shall notify his writtenreasoneddecision,settingout: (a) the findingastowhetheranoffenceundertheRegulationshasbeencommitted;(b)thesanction,ifany,tobeimposed(inaccordancewithArticle4);(c)detailsofwhichMatchorMatchesanysuspensionistobeappliedto;and(d)anyrightofappealthatexistspursuanttoArticle5,within48hoursofreceiptofthefullresponsetotheNoticeofCharge.Acopyof the decision shall be sent to the CEO of the player or support staff’s franchise (or his/herdesignee)andtheAGMOperations,BCCI.

3.3SubjectonlytotherightsofappealunderArticle5,theBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficerdecisionshallbethefull,finalandcompletedispositionofthematterandwillbebindingonallparties.

ARTICLE4–SANCTIONS

4.1Where theplayer, support staffor franchise (asappropriate)admit theoffenceandaccede tothe sanction proposed in a Notice of Charge in accordance with Article 2.4.1 then the sanctionimposedshallbeassetoutinsuchNoticeofCharge.

4.2WhereamattercomesbeforetheAGMOperationsBCCIinaccordancewitheitherArticle2.4.2or 2.4.3, and he/she determines that an offence under these Regulations has been committed,he/shewillberequiredtoimposeanappropriatesanctionontheplayer,supportstafforfranchise(asappropriate).

4.3Inordertodeterminethesanctionthatistobeimposedineachcase,theAGMOperations,BCCIortheBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficer(asappropriate)mustfirstconsiderwhethertheplayer,supportstaff or franchise (as appropriate) has previously been found guilty of an offence in the samecategoryunder theRegulations (oranypredecessor regulations) inanyMatches since the startoftheIPLseasonintheprecedingcalendaryear(togetherthe“PreviousSanctionPeriod”)priortotheMatchonwhichtheallegedoffencetookplace.

NOTE: For example, if a player is found to have breached these Regulations in respect of aCommercialLogo,heshallonlybeconsideredtohavecommittedarepeatoffenceif,inthePreviousSanctionPeriod,hewasfoundguiltyofabreachoftheseRegulationsinrelationtoanyCommercialLogo.Ifthepreviousbreachhadrelated,forexample,toaManufacturer’sLogo,itwouldnotcountasarepeatoffenceforthepurposesofthisArticle4.3.

4.4OncetheAGMOperations,BCCIorBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficer(asappropriate)hasestablishedwhetherthisisarepeatoffencewithintherelevanttwelvemonthperiod,thenhe/sheshallgoontotakeintoaccountanyotherfactorsthathe/shedeemsrelevantandappropriatetothemitigationoraggravationofthenatureoftheoffence(including,withoutlimitation,thenatureandfrequencyofanypreviousoffencesundertheRegulations)beforedetermining,inaccordancewiththefollowingtable,whattheappropriatesanctionshouldbe.

NOTE:ForthepurposesofthisAppendix2,MatchFeemeanstheLeagueFee(inrelationtoplayersand as defined in the Player Contract) or salary/other remuneration (in relation to Support Staff)payabletohim/herinrespectoftherelevantseason/year(asappropriate)dividedby14.

4.5 Where a player or support staff has been suspended for a specific number of Matches, thesuspensionwillbeappliedinaccordancewiththefollowingprinciples:

4.5.1 In imposing any suspensionof anynumber ofMatches on a player or support staff, the IPLAGMoperations, BCCI or the BCCI Chief ExecutiveOfficer shall select theMatcheswhich are themostproximate (i.e., nearest in time) to thedateonwhich thedecision to suspend theplayerorsupport staff is made (the “Suspension Date”). However, where selecting the most proximateMatch(es)would result in thesuspensionbeingapplied in relation toaMatch inwhich thePlayerwouldnotparticipateorwould,attheSuspensionDate,notbelikelytoparticipateineachcaseasaresultofthePlayerbeinginvolvedinInternationalDutythentheAGMOperationsBCCIortheBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficershallinimposingthesuspensionchoosethenextmostproximateMatch(es).

4.5.2 IfaMatchforwhichaPlayerorSupportstaffhasbeensuspendediscancelled,postponedorotherwiseabandonedpriortothecommencementofsuchMatch(beingthebowlingofthefirstball)thentheMatchshallnotbedeemedtohaveformedpartofthesuspensionandthemostproximatenextMatchshall(subject,inthecaseofaPlayer,tothesameexceptionandprocedureasdescribedintheprecedingparagraphforanyMatchinwhichsuchPlayerisunableorisnotlikelytobeabletoparticipate as a result of International Duty) be deemed to be aMatch to which the suspensionapplies.IfaMatchforwhichaPlayerorsupportstaffissuspendedcommences(i.e.thefirstballisbowled)thenthatMatchshallcountasoneofthenumberofMatcheswhich is thesubjectofthesuspensionwhethersuchMatchiscompletedornot.

4.5.3Thefollowingexamples(includedforillustrativepurposesonly)havebeenincludedtoseektoassisttheAGMOperations,BCCIortheBCCIChiefExecutiveOfficer inapplyingsuspensionsundertheRegulationsbutshallnotbindthem.

Example1

Situation:PlayerAissuspendedfor4Matches.Thefranchiseforwhichtheplayerhasplayedintherelevant season has two further Matches in the season and has not qualified for the playoffMatches. The Player is expected to be unavailable for the first six Matches of the team in thefollowingseasonbyreasonofInternationalDuty.

Suspension:PlayerAissuspendedfromplayinginthetworemainingMatchesinthecurrentseasonand the seventh and eighth Matches of the franchise in the next season. If Player A moves toanotherfranchiseforthenextseason,hewouldbesuspendedfortheseventhandeighthMatchesofhisnewteaminthenextseason.

Example2

Situation:PlayerBissuspendedfor5Matches.Thefranchiseforwhichtheplayerhasplayedintherelevant calendaryear (a)hasoneMatch remaining in the leagueand (b)qualifies for theplayoffMatches as a result of its performance in that one remaining Match in the league and (c) iseliminatedafteroneplayoffMatch. ThePlayer isnotaffectedby InternationalDuty inrelationtoeithertheremainingMatchesinthatseasonorthefollowingseason.

Suspension: PlayerB is suspended forhis franchise’sone remainingMatch in the league, theoneplayoffMatchfeaturinghisfranchiseandthefirstthreeMatchesofthefollowingseasonfeaturinghisfranchise.

4.6Whereafineisimposedagainstaplayerorsupportstaff,thensuchfinemustbepaid:(a)bytheplayerorsupportstaff(andnotanythirdparty,includingthefranchise);(b)totheplayerorsupportstaff’s franchise (for onward transmission to BCCI) within one calendar month of receipt of the

decisionimposingthefine.However,BCCIwillconsideranyrequestfromanyplayerorsupportstafftomakepaymentofsuchfinesoveraprolongedperiodoftimeonthegroundsoffinancialhardship.Shouldanyfine(oragreedpart-paymentorinstalmentthereof)notbepaidtotherelevantfranchisewithin suchdeadlineorby the timeof thenext agreedpaymentdate, theplayeror support staffmaynotplay,coachorotherwisebeinvolved inanycapacityinanyMatchuntilsuchpaymenthasbeensatisfiedinfull.

4.7Whereaplayerorsupportstaffhashadasuspensionimposedagainsthim/her,he/shemaynotplay, coach or otherwise participate or be involved in any capacity in the Match(es) which arecoveredbytheapplicationofhissuspensionasdeterminedinaccordancewithArticle4.5.

NOTE:Fortheavoidanceofanydoubt,aplayerwhohashadasuspensionimposedagainsthimshallnot,duringtheMatcheswhicharecoveredbyhissuspension:

a) benominatedas,orcarryoutanyofthedutiesorresponsibilitiesof,asubstitutefielder;or

b) enteranypartoftheplayingarea(whichshallinclude,fortheavoidanceofdoubt,thefieldof play and the area between the boundary andperimeter boards) at any time, includingduringanyscheduledorunscheduledbreaksinplay.

Inaddition,asupportstaffsosanctionedshallnotbepermittedtoentertheplayer’sdressingroom(including the viewing areas) during anyMatch covered by his suspension. Players so sanctioned,however,willbepermittedtoentertheplayers’dressingroomprovidedthattheplayers’dressingroom (or any part thereof) for the relevantMatch is not within the player area described in (b)above(forexample,nosuchplayershallbepermittedaccesstoanon-field‘dug-out’).

Finally, anyplayeror support staff so sanctioned shallnotbeprevented fromattendinganypost-match ceremonies or presentations taking place anywhere on the field of play or otherwisefollowingtheconclusionofanyMatchcoveredbyhis/hersuspension.

4.8 Once any suspension has expired, the player or support staff will automatically become re-eligibletoparticipateinMatchesprovidedthathe/shehaspaid,infull,allamountsforfeitedundertheseRegulations,includinganyfinesthatmayhavebeenimposedagainsthim/her.

ARTICLE5–APPEALS

5.1Appealsfromdecisionsinrelationtowhichareprimandand/orfineisimposed.

5.1.1 Decisions made under these Regulations by the BCCI Chief Executive Officer in relation towhichareprimandand/orfineisimposedshallbenon-appealableandshallremainthefullandfinaldecisioninrelationtothematter.

5.2Appealsmayonlybemadefromdecisionsinrelationtowhichasuspensionisimposed.

5.2.1 Decisions made by the BCCI Chief Executive Officer in relation to which a suspension isimposedmaybechallengedsolelybyappealassetoutinthisArticle5.2.Suchdecisionshallremainin effect while under appeal unless the BCCI Honorary Secretary properly convened to hear theappealordersotherwise.

5.2.2Theonlypartieswhomayappealadecisionofthisnatureshallbetheplayer,orsupportstafffoundguiltyofanoffenceundertheseRegulations.

5.2.3AnynoticetoappealunderthisArticlemustbelodgedwiththeBCCIHonorarySecretarywithin24 hours of receipt of the written decision of the BCCI Chief Executive Officer (the “Notice ofAppeal”).IncaseswhereaplayerorsupportstafffilesaNoticeofAppeal,acopyofsuchnoticewillalsobeprovided to theCEOof the franchise (orhis/herdesignee) towhich theplayeror supportstaff is affiliated.TheNoticeofAppeal shall includeawritten statement settingout, indetail, thegrounds for appeal of the decision, togetherwith anydocuments onwhich theplayer or supportstaffwishestorelyinsupportoftheappeal.

5.2.4 Thereafter, the BCCI Honorary Secretary shall decide the matter solely on the basis of theNoticeofAppealandsupportingdocuments,andtheoriginalNoticeofCharge.TheBCCIHonorarySecretaryshallnotholdanoralhearing.However,shouldtheBCCIHonorarySecretaryconsiderthatfurther information is necessary to allowhim tomake his decision, he shall be entitled to obtainsuch further informationbeforemakinghisdecision, andwhere requested, the relevantplayerorsupportstaffshallassisthiminthatregard.Inconsideringthematter,theBCCIHonorarySecretaryshallbeentitledtoconsultwiththeBCCIlegaldepartment.

5.2.5 Save in exceptional circumstances, the BCCI Honorary Secretary shall notify his writtenreasoneddecision,settingout: (a) the findingastowhetheranoffenceundertheRegulationshasbeencommitted;(b)thesanction,ifany,tobeimposed(inaccordanceArticle4);and(c)detailsofwhichMatchorMatchesanysuspensionistobeappliedto,within48hoursofreceiptofthereceiptof theNoticeofAppeal.A copyof thedecision shall be sent to theCEOof theplayeror supportstaff’sfranchise(orhis/herdesignee)andtheAGMOperations,BCCI.

5.2.6AnydecisionmadebytheBCCIHonorarySecretaryunderthisArticle5.2shallbethefull,finalandcompletedispositionofthematterandwillbebindingonallparties.

5.3Noappealinrelationtoanacceptedsanction.

5.3.1 For the avoidance of doubt, where a player, support staff or franchise admits the offencecharged and accedes to the sanction specified in the Notice of Charge in accordance with theproceduredescribedinArticle2.4.1,theplayer,supportstafforfranchisewaiveshis/her/itsrighttoanyappealagainsttheimpositionofsuchasanction.

ARTICLE6–GOVERNINGLAW

6.1TheseRegulationsaregovernedbyandshallbeconstruedinaccordancewithIndianlaw.Strictlywithout prejudice to the provisions relating to Dispute Resolution at Articles 3 and 5 of theRegulations,alldisputespertainingtotheRegulationsshallbesubjecttotheexclusivejurisdictionoftheCourtsinMumbai,India.
